SARA HAINES interviewed SHANIA TWAIN for an episode of “Strahan, Sara and Keke” . . . and she shared a few things that may surprise you. When asked if she ever dreamed of having this huge career, she said no way. “I couldn’t have ever imagined where I am today from where I came from.  I grew up underprivileged.  I was always the dirty little kid at school or maybe somebody didn’t want to sit behind me because I had greasy hair.” There was a fan question segment, and someone asked her to name her “favorite glamorous outfit” that she’s ever worn.  She said, “I think the favorite is my ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman’ outfit.  Another fan asked what song was the “most therapeutic and healing” to write.  She went with “You’re Still the One” because it’s taken on different meanings to her throughout years . . . and it keeps evolving with her.

 

The Walt Disney Company announced that effective immediately, Bob Iger would be stepping down from his post as chief executive. Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, will assume Iger’s former role.  Iger said, “I believe this is an optimal time to transition to a new CEO.  I have the utmost confidence in Bob and look forward to working closely with him over the next 22 months as he assumes this new role.”

 

Another perp in the college admissions scandal has been sentenced to hard time. Her name is Michelle Janavs, and she’s the heir to the HOT POCKETS FORTUNE. Michelle paid $100,000 to help her two daughters cheat on their SATs.  She also paid another $200,000 to have one of the girls set up to look like a beach volleyball recruit so she could get into USC.  Michelle will spend five months behind bars.

 

“The Office” has been off the air since 2013, but it’s STILL incredibly popular – and now, a new generation of fans will be exposed to it. Mashable.com says there’s a new CHILDREN’S BOOK coming out called “The Office: A Day at Dunder Mifflin Elementary” – and it’s about a young Michael Scott, who’s aiming to become the “World’s Best Line Leader.” All the other characters will be his classmates, and the teacher is Ms. Levinson . . . a.k.a. Jan! The book is being released on October 6th, but you can pre-order your copy now for $17.99.

 

Disney announced an expansion of the Star Wars universe called Star Wars: The High Republic. The interconnected series of books, novels and comics will be set 200 years before Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.  A press release said, “This period on the Star Wars timeline will not overlap any of the filmed features or series currently planned for production.”

 

The FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE guys posted a video on Instagram where they’re almost pleading with Carrie Underwood to duet with them on a new song they just wrote.

 

TIM MCGRAW is a hashtag #GirlDad and proud of it. He posted a two-photo panel on Instagram of his three daughters, Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey.  One pic is from when they were little girls, and the other is them as grown-up women.

 

REBA MCENTIRE wants to send you a text.
