JASON MOMOA had to fight a bear for his new Apple TV show “See” and they decided to use a REAL BEAR. But before Jason could rassle around with a real bear, it had to get his scent. So he fed it a cookie from his MOUTH.  He posted a video on Instagram. And then came PETA.  They’re upset that the show is using a real bear instead of a computer-animated one. They said, “Momoa apparently doesn’t realize that there’s no behind-the-scenes justice for this exploited bear. Wild animals are often torn away from their mothers as infants and thrown into a life in which trainers frequently use cruel techniques such as food deprivation, beatings, electric shocks and chaining to force them to perform. We hope he’ll refuse to participate in stunts involving wild animals in the future.”

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY turns 50 today, but he wasn’t out celebrating on Friday – he was cooking and delivering meals for first responders fighting the California wildfires. He teamed up with his beloved Wild Turkey and the disaster relief organization Operation BBQ Relief to prepare 800 meals and deliver them to more than 20 fire stations. They also made another 800 meals for local homeless shelters. He said, “Being able to provide meals to the men and women who put themselves on the line is an honor . . We are grateful to be here today to say thank you, shine a light on their unwavering conviction, and hopefully inspire others to get involved and help in their own communities.”

KANYE WEST held his Sunday Service in Louisiana on Friday. The general admission ticket was free, but there was also an option to get a “Brunchella” breakfast buffet added for $55 a pop. One attendee posted a photo of the plate, which had two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, and a sausage patty. She said she asked for an extra pancake – so she apparently only got one – and she opted out of “a small scoop of grits.”  It was served on a paper plate, and she said ALL the food was cold. “Local organizers” reportedly hired a catering company to be in charge of the food and the event coordinator said the criticism is overblown.

BRAD PITT has worked with QUENTIN TARANTINO twice now, and at a special screening of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” yesterday, he told an amusing story about the ONE rule Quentin is serious about on the set. No cell phones. He said, “You have to check your phone in – and one went off in between takes. “Not only did production come to a grinding halt . . . and no one would cop to it, even though we knew the general area . . . Quentin sent us home for the rest of the day and we had the afternoon off to think about [what] we had done.” Quentin was also at the screening.  He admitted it was true, but said, “I ask you for one thing, and if you have no more respect for me than that, then go home.”

CHELY WRIGHT posted some shocking news on Friday. She revealed that it was the one-year anniversary of her having a stroke.  It happened November 1st of 2018.  She thought it was a migraine at first, but also kind of knew it was different. She finally decided to go to the hospital and tests confirmed it was a stroke.  She was only 48 years old.  She went public on Friday because she wants to raise awareness about strokes and their symptoms.

CLINT BLACK’s new song “This Old House” features tons of guest stars. He’s joined by Travis Tritt, Steve Wariner, Sara Evans, Cody Jinks, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Michael Ray, and Trace Adkins. The song is a tribute to the Grand Ole Opry, so he went there to film the video.  He walks through the hallways and you see singers come to life in the framed portraits.  Some clips are from the past, while the others are artists from the actual song. “This Old House” is on Clint’s new album, “Still Killin’ Time”, which drops Friday.  A portion of the song’s proceeds will benefit the Opry Trust Fund.

GARTH BROOKS and BLAKE SHELTON released the video to “Dive Bar” . . . and they emphasized the “dive” part. The whole thing takes place underwater, supposedly.  Also, it’s on the stage of Blake’s Ole Red.
