He said, “My promotion team, I’ve always said to them, ‘I’m not sure if I can give you a song that’s gonna be a Number One, but I can promise you I will never give you something that you’re not proud to represent.’ I’ll never do that. It will be something that you can look at your friends in any genre, or anybody that has any kind of taste in music, and say, ‘This is the song I represent.'” He adds, “Sometimes we get Number One, most times we don’t.”

LANCO has announced the dates of their “What I See” tour. It’ll kick off January 9th in Overland Park, Kansas, and wrap March 14th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They’re also opening on Miranda Lambert’s Wildcard Tour during the stretch, so some of the shows will take place during gaps on her tour.

SHENANDOAH released a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute song called “Freebird In The Wind”. It features Charlie Daniels reading lyrics to a poem that’s etched into a bench beside the late Ronnie Van Zant’s grave. Ronnie was the band’s lead singer and was close friends with Charlie. Proceeds from the song will go to the group’s official charity, the Lynyrd Skynyrd Foundation.
