JAKE GYLLENHAAL saved a dog that was trapped in a busy intersection in New York City this past Thursday. Jake was walking at Laight and Hudson streets at about 10:30 when he saw an enormous Dalmatian standing terrified in the middle of traffic. It had gotten away from its owner. So he stepped into the intersection and got traffic to stop so he could coax the dog to him and bring it back to its owner. He even, “took a moment to talk to the stricken dog owner about different types of leashes that might prevent the scary situation from happening again.”

LADY GAGA took a crazy spill during a show in Vegas Thursday night, after she invited a male fan up onstage and jumped into his arms. The guy stepped on the edge of stage. His leg buckled, and they both fell off the stage and into the crowd. It looked scary, since neither were in position to brace themselves . . . but fortunately, no one was hurt. Right after the fall, Gaga said, “The only thing that’s not okay is we need some stairs for the stage so I can get back up.”  The guy was reportedly IN TEARS, so Gaga invited him back onstage for “Million Reasons”.  She said, “Could you forgive yourself right now for what just happened?”Gaga took a post-show ice bath, and apparently she had her WHOLE BODY X-rayed.  She Tweeted a photo of herself giving the ‘A-OK’ sign with her hand.

As expected, JENNIFER LAWRENCE and her fiancé Cooke Maroney got married Saturday at some ritzy mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. And there were a lot of celebrities there to help them celebrate . . Including Adele, Amy Schumer, Emma Stone, Ashley Olsen, Nicole Richie and her husband Joel Madden, Cameron Diaz, Sienna Miller, and Kris Jenner. There aren’t many details yet about the actual ceremony, but here are two random bits of information:

  2. The rehearsal dinner on Friday night was a clambake under a white tent.

CRAIG MORGAN gave an amazing, and very emotional performance of “The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost” last week on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”. He was in tears by the end of the song . . . and so was Kelly AND her guests, Blake Shelton and Eva Mendes. Blake and Kelly walked over and took turns giving him a hug when he was done. Craig wrote it in honor of his late son, Jerry.  In the interview segment he opened up about how the song came to him at 3:30 one morning.  He said God woke him up with the chorus of it in his head. He usually goes back to sleep when that kind of thing happens, thinking he’ll write it in the morning.  But not this time.  Something told him that he needed to go finish it, so he did.  Four hours later the song was completely done.

Demi Lovato’s Snapchat was targeted by hackers who released intimate, nude photos allegedly of the singer on her own account. Lovato’s team was quick to take action and remove the nudes.

PRINCE HARRY and MEGHAN MARKLE don’t give many interviews, but ABC has a special on them airing this Wednesday, and Meghan admits that becoming a royal has been DIFFICULT. She says, “It’s hard. I don’t think anybody could understand that.  In all fairness I had no idea, but when I first met my now-husband, my friends were really happy because I was so happy. But my British friends said to me, ‘I’m sure he’s great, but you shouldn’t do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life.'” She also says, “I never thought that this would be easy but I thought it would be fair.  And that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile but, I don’t know, [I] just take each day as it comes.” The interviewer asks if she’s okay  and she beats around the bush before admitting that she’s “not really okay.” Harry says he could see them moving to Africa someday.  Nothing is imminent, but it would get them away from the press.  (Harry recently SUED the tabloids, claiming that they’re trying to bully Meghan.) He says that he doesn’t want to see a repeat of what happened to his mother, Princess Diana.  He describes her death as a “wound that festers,” and adds that dealing with the grief is something that takes “constant management.” Speaking of the tabloids, there have been rumors that there’s a rift between Harry and PRINCE WILLIAM . . . and Harry doesn’t completely deny them. He says, “Part of [our family] being under the pressure that it’s under [is] . . . stuff happens.  But look, we’re brothers.  We’ll always be brothers . . .”The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers it’s just as I said, you have good days, you have bad days.” The special is called “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey”, and it airs Wednesday night at 10:00 P.M. Eastern on ABC.

Dennis Quad seems ready to walk to the altar again — the guy’s reportedly engaged to his WAAYYY younger girlfriend. TMZ has obtained a photo of 65 year old Dennis with his 26-year-old GF (and now, apparent fiancee) Laura Savoie holding up her left ring finger, which has a giant rock on it. This photo was taken Friday night minutes after he proposed to her at Turtle Bay in Oahu. Apparently, a wedding party was happening nearby, and a couple that had just gotten hitched invited Dennis and Laura to pose for a pic to celebrate the dual occasions. Laura’s a grad student at the University of Texas. She and Dennis have been going out since the summer.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD tripped but didn’t fall during her concert last week in Louisville, Kentucky. It happened as she was running along the stage and high fiving her crew, and one of them was in the right place to offer support. The next day she reTweeted a clip of it, and wrote, “Our stage can be a dangerous place, especially in heels.  We put our lives on the line night after night for the sake of the music.  Thankfully, [band member] Chad Jeffers was there to catch me.”
