On the “Tonight Show” last week, JIMMY FALLON ambushed TAYLOR SWIFT with video her mother took of her crying about a banana after getting Lasik surgery. And on Sunday, HAILEY BIEBER took video of JUSTIN copying it. Maybe they were just having some harmless fun. But since Justin is super-tight with Taylor’s enemy Scooter Braun, her fans aren’t taking it that way.  In fact, the Swifties came down so hard that Hailey had to respond . . . and offer a sort-of apology. She Tweeted, “I never knew I could make somebody so upset . . . truly I’m so sorry you’re THIS upset?!  Lord have mercy I hope I’m never this upset about someone I don’t know!! If there’s something I did to personally hurt or offend you I’m sorry, it’s not my intention to upset you by any means.”

KALEY CUOCO married her husband Karl Cook last year, and they don’t even live together. At least not yet. Kaley says, “It’s great . . . we are building our dream house, so we’re gonna be in our home together very soon.” “But as of now, it’s worked out fine for us.  I have no problem with it.”

10 years ago it seemed like BRETT FAVRE would NEVER quit football. He spent every offseason retiring, then coming OUT of retirement. Now, with the new data on concussions, CTE, and the effect of football injuries on your brain, he’s wondering if he should have known when to quit and if he played too long.  He said he didn’t remember some of the stories the interviewer brought up, and he’s concerned about that. “There was a point in my life where I remembered everything – a story I should know – I have no recollection of it.  It bugs me.  It makes me wonder.” On the books, Brett suffered “3 or 4 concussions” in his career.  But he took a lot more hits that would be considered concussions today. “When you have ringing of the ears, seeing stars, that’s a concussion.  And if that’s a concussion, then I’ve had hundreds, probably thousands, throughout my career, which is frightening.” A doctor wanted to examine him for signs of CTE.  And he said, “No disrespect.  But I’d rather not know.” All that said, Brett is glad that he played and he insisted he “wouldn’t trade any of it. the good and the bad.”

ALEX TREBEK has been standing up to cancer like a CHAMP. How much longer can he do it?  In a new interview, he hinted that his time hosting “Jeopardy!” could be running out. He said he’s going to keep doing it until his skills diminish – but then added, “They have started to diminish.  I talk to the producers about this all the time now, I said, ‘Look, I’m slurring my words, my tongue doesn’t work as well as it used to.’ “The chemo has caused sores inside my mouth.  It makes it difficult for me to speak and enunciate properly.  They say, ‘Well, we don’t notice,’ [and] I say, ‘I notice those things.’ “I’m sure there are observant members of the television audience who notice also, but they’re forgiving.”

In an interview with “CBS This Morning”, ZAC BROWN made it very clear that he’s going to continue recording the kind of music that fits whatever mood he’s in at the time. “I am not just a country artist. I’m not.  I have to create what moves me and what connects with my fans.  I don’t like being coined as a ‘country artist.’  I like just being an ‘artist.'” And if critics think the music that “moves him” is horrible -like they did with his recent solo album – well, that’s not going to change his mind. “Purists] should just listen to the songs of mine that are more country and leave me alone about all the other ones.  ‘Cause I don’t really care what they have to say about ’em.”

DAN + SHAY have moved to the next level of their career – and not just because of their “10,000 Hours” collaboration with Justin Bieber. It’s because they announced the dates of their first arena tour as headliners and tickets went so fast they started adding shows right away. “We added a second night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and new shows in Columbus and Newark due to demand.  Today was one of the craziest days of our lives watching the pre-sale counts for our first headlining arena tour. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets.  They are going VERY quickly, and you’re making us feel loved in a big way.  Let’s sell this whole thing out.” The tour kicks off with the two Nashville. At this point there’s a five-month break in the middle, then it picks up in September and wraps a month later.  March 12 – Wells Fargo Center    Sept 25 – Madison Square Garden           October 11 – Giant Center
