If you tuned in to “Thursday Night Football” last night for some wholesome family entertainment, you might have got a little more than you bargained for. During a punt before the end of the first half, an NBC mic picked up a private conversation between two players on the sideline. And by private, I mean NAUGHTY . . . I think. It’s unclear who either of the players were, but sportscaster Al Michaels heard it too, because he chuckled. There’s also no word on what the context could’ve been. One site seems to think the audio came from the Green Bay sideline.
The Oakland Raiders are probably regretting their big free agent signing from this offseason . . . receiver ANTONIO BROWN got FROSTBITE on his feet from a cryotherapy chamber – then he missed practices because he refused to wear an approved helmet – now, after getting fined for missing a practice, Brown got into a heated exchange with Raiders GM Mike Mayock, and threatened to HIT HIM IN THE FACE. He even had to be held back by teammates. Then he punted a ball, and said, ‘Fine me for that.’ Obviously, threatening your GM is not smart – and ESPN says the Raiders are planning on suspending Brown. They can sit him for up to 4 games without pay for conduct detrimental to the team. That’d cost Brown almost $1 million per game, but he could lose more than that, because there’s talk the Raiders might cut him if the relationship can’t be salvaged. Brown was supposed to get more than $30 million guaranteed over the next two years. Dramatically leaving TWO teams on bad terms in less than a year might make people gun-shy about bringing him in. Brown recently posted about the helmet drama, and suggested that the whole thing was a marketing stunt.
DEMI LOVATO posted an unedited bikini photo because she’s tired of being ashamed of her body. She admits she’s edited her bikini photos in the past, but now she says, “I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. Just so everyone’s clear – I’m not stoked on my appearance BUT I am appreciative of it and sometimes that’s the best I can do. I hope to inspire someone to appreciate their body today too. #nationalcelulliteday
NICKI MINAJsays she’s RETIRING from music to start a family with her man Kenneth Petty. Nicki and Kenneth got a marriage license this summer. She’s been calling him her husband, and even changed her Twitter handle to “Mrs. Petty” . . . but there’s no official word that they’re actually married yet.
“American Idol” turned KELLY CLARKSON into a star, and she knows that – but she says that at the time she DIDN’T want to win. NOT winning would’ve spared her from doing the “Idol” movie “From Justin to Kelly”. The winner definitely was obligated to do it, and Kelly says that’s the ONLY reason she did it. She also points she was basically the first of her kind . . . and the industry did not respect her. She says, “The first three years of my career was me paying for winning a talent show. I got real bitter . . . [no one] knew what I was going through.” Kelly says several artists gave her a hard time, although some of them have gone on to become judges and coaches on talent competitions. She says that being a coach on “The Voice” has helped her overcome that bitterness . . . because she can help other artists who don’t have anyone to relate to. And she also makes it clear that she LOVED being on “Idol”.

Texas country singer KYLIE RAE HARRIS died in a three-car crash Wednesday night in northern New Mexico. She was on the way to perform at the Big Barn Dance Music Festival in New Mexico. A 16-year-old driving a second car was also killed, but the person driving the third car wasn’t injured. Authorities say alcohol was “suspected” in the crash, but they haven’t confirmed anything. Although this doesn’t seem to be related, Kylie sent out a haunting Tweet earlier that day – “Fuel range is 46 miles, and I’m 36 [miles] from the nearest gas station. Dear baby Jesus, please don’t let me get stranded in New Mexico.” She’s survived by her six-year-old daughter Corbie. A GoFundMe page has been created to help cover some of the funeral costs and to set up a college fund for Corbie. Her publicist issued a statement saying, “Everyone that knew her knew how much she loved her family and [her] music. The best tribute to her enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you.” People.com has a pretty thorough write-up on her music and life. It includes her final song, “Twenty Years From Now”, which is a dedication to her daughter. You’ll need a box of Kleenex.
