Amanda Large lost her 3-month-old son Thomas a few years ago and found solace while watching Pirates of the Caribbean. She became so enthralled in the movie that she became Ireland’s only female Jack Sparrow impersonator and married her soul mate, the ghost of John Robert Teague, better known as Captain Jack Sparrow.  Now, Large is seeking a divorce stating, “I wish I never got married to him.  I wish I was that healthy person that I was before I met him.  Jack has turned what was a beautiful and loving relationship to something that is ugly.”

 

Ronda Rousey is joining the cast of Fox’s 9-1-1 in its third season. She made a name for herself as an ultimate fighting star and WWE wrestler.  She will play Lena Bosko, “a fearless member of the LAFD’s Station 136.”

 

Drew Barrymore is eyeing a move into the daytime talk show arena. She recently wrapped three seasons of the Netflix comedy Santa Clarita Diet, and has been shooting a pilot this week in New York for CBS.

 

Zac Brown has lost a bid to limit snoopers on his private property in Alaska. He had sought to remove easements allowing access along his property, but the bid was rejected by a planning commission. Brown’s log home in Homer overlooks scenic Kachemak Bay. Homer is frequented by fishermen and free spirits and bills itself as the “Halibut Capital of the World.”

 

A second person has accused KATY PERRY of sexual harassment, and this time it’s a woman. But it’s coming from a questionably reliable Russian source. A female TV host named Tina Kandelaki says Katy harassed her at an industry party.  She claims Katy was drunk and inappropriately touched her and tried to kiss her.  She rejected her advances, but said that Katy continued to act out all night. Tina claims she decided to come forward after hearing Josh Kloss’ story.  He’s the model from the “Teenage Dream” video, who accused Katy of exposing him at a party seven years ago.  Katy hasn’t commented on either accusation.

 

MIRANDA LAMBERT revealed the details of her new album, “Wildcard” which drops November 1st. For the cover, she went with a pinup look, wearing lingerie and fishnet tights.  She’ll be promoting the album with another all-female Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour.  The rotating lineup of openers includes – Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, Elle King, Caylee Hammack, and the Pistol Annies. It’ll kick-off September 13th in Connecticut and run through November 23rd in North Carolina.

 

KANE BROWN and his wife Katelyn have decided to name their daughter Kingsley. Kane, Katelyn, and Kingsley.  Sounds like they’re starting a tradition.  The baby’s due this fall.

 

The RASCAL FLATTS guys were talking about all the weird injuries they’ve had while performing. Sometimes it’s just them being clumsy, and other times it’s because of those “pop-up toaster lifts” that artists are on as they rise from beneath the stage. JOE DON ROONEY says, “The toasters [are] bad. I blew my knee out.  GARY [LEVOX] tweaked his knee.” The rest of the injuries cover a wide range of mishaps.  He adds, “We’ve been pulled off stage.  We’ve fallen offstage.  We’ve split our pants on stage.  There’s been blood.  There’s been near pass-outs.  So yeah, it’s a dangerous gig, but we love it.”

 

The Federal Communications Commission has fined ABC as well as a handful of cable networks and radio stations a collective total of more than $600,000 for falsely using emergency alert tones on the air. The settlements came after the FCC accused the broadcasters of misusing Emergency Alert System or Wireless Emergency Alert tones on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” and Discovery’s “Lone Star Law,” in violation of the Commission’s rules. ABC will pay the biggest penalty, owing the commission $395,000

 

MAREN MORRIS and her husband Ryan Hurd turned their Hawaii vacation into a tax write-off. She released the video to her song “The Bones”, and it’s filled with clips of their trip to the Aloha State.  They’re under a waterfall, on the beach, and visiting the famous Road to Hana.

 

GRANGER SMITH’s wife Amber is doing her best to cope with life after the tragic drowning of their son, River. She posted a photo of their other two kids – London and Lincoln – wearing their school backpacks. She wrote, “I’m choosing to smile through tears and get excited for London and Linc because they need and deserve that.  I’m going to focus on living a life of meaning for River’s honor, creating the foundation in his name to help others.”

 

“Toy Story 4” has surpassed the $1 billion mark globally. IN THEATERS _ Angry Birds 2 is likely to land at the top of the box office this weekend, pulling in around $20 million.
