Thomas Rhett Scores 13th No. 1 Single With “Look What God Gave Her”

One week after his new album, Center Point Road, debuted at No. 1 on both the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and Billboard Top Country Albums chart, Thomas Rhett has scored his 13th No. 1 single with “Look What God Gave Her,” which is No. 1 on both the Mediabase chart and Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Penned by Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, Jacob Kasher and Ammar Malik, “Look What God Gave Her” reached No. 1 after only 17 weeks on the charts. The tune is TR’s seventh consecutive No. 1 song.

“I think I played this song 2,000 times in a month after we first wrote it,” says Thomas Rhett. “It makes me want to dance. It makes me want to move. And to me, the song really is a celebration of how awesome my wife is. I know I’ve done that in the past, but I’ve never really done it in an uptempo way. I was really glad we were able to nail this one. My wife is so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know . . . and she’s hilarious. It’s really just about thanking God for the human being He made, and singing it in a fun way.”

“Look What God Gave Her” is the lead single from Center Point Road, a 16-song album that takes its name from the street in his Tennessee hometown that shaped much of his life experiences. TR co-penned every track on the album, which also features a who’s who of top songwriters, including Shane McAnally, Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure, Karen Fairchild and more. In addition, the album features a number of collaborations with other artists, including Kelsea Ballerini (“Center Point Road”), Little Big Town (“Don’t Threaten Me With a Good Time”) and Jon Pardi (“Beer Can’t Fix”).
