Chris Young Invites Fans to Catch Fish, Hear Tunes & Fight Cancer in 3rd Annual Event

Chris Young will host his 3rd annual The Legends Cast For a Cure Big Bass Tournament & Party in the Park on June 1 at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, Tenn., which is about 20 miles north of Nashville. For the third year in a row, Chris will be joined by legendary anglers Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston and Roland Martin, as well as country stars Drew Baldridge, Tyler Reeve and Alabama’s Jeff Cook.

The event will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation, the music industry’s leading foundation to fund innovative cancer research. In addition to the bass tournament (registration is open now), the Party in the Park event—which is free—will feature live music from Philip White and the Wilson Brothers Band, a silent auction, family-friendly activities, photo opportunities and more. Additional guests and performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

“My dad fought cancer and won,” says Chris. “I can’t think of any better way to give back to an organization that helps find cures for cancer than to spend the day sitting in a boat fishing with my old man.”

Since the event’s inception, more than $64,000 has been raised. All proceeds from the bass tournament will benefit T.J. Martell Foundation.
