The first pictures of Disney’s live-action “Aladdin” remake hit the web yesterday, and it seems like NOBODY is happy. The main beef is that WILL SMITH’s Genie isn’t blue.  He’s the color of . . . Will Smith. Will said, “Yes, I’m gonna be BLUE! 🙂  This is how the Genie is in Human / Disguise Form.

Every year, “Forbes” puts out a list of the world’s highest paid comedians. Here’s the Top 10:

“Business Insider” put out a list of the 45 Most Successful Christmas Movies of All Time. The numbers are NOT adjusted for inflation.  Here’s the Top 10:

  2. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000), $260 million.
  3. “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch” (2018), $224.2 million.
  4. “The Polar Express” (2004), $186.5 million.

KIM KARDASHIAN’s son touched the family’s Elf on the Shelf, which apparently KILLED it. So her daughter made a GRAVE, complete with a bed of grass and a tombstone that read ‘R.I.P.

 

CINDY WILLIAMS issued a statement on the passing of her “Laverne and Shirley” co-star PENNY MARSHALL. She said, “What an extraordinary loss.  My good friend, Penny Marshall is gone.  One in a million.  Utterly unique, a truly great talent.  And, oh what fun we had!  Can’t describe how I’ll miss her.”

 

Even though PARIS HILTON broke off her engagement, she’s keeping the $2 million ring. Not that her ex-fiancé loses any money on the deal.  She says, “The person who we got it from got millions and millions of dollars of free publicity.”

 

An activist from Africa wants Disney to relinquish its trademark on the phrase “Hakuna Matata”, from “The Lion King”, claiming it amounts to cultural appropriation. He started an online petition, and as of last night it had more than 70,000 signatures.

 

“Billboard” released their lists of the Best Country Albums of the Year . . . and Best Country Songs of the Year. It’s not about sales or chart rankings.  They’re based purely on opinion.

Rosie O’Donnell is officially a first-time grandmother. The former “View” co-host’s 21-year-old daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, gave birth to a baby girl named Skylar Rose,

 

BRANTLEY GILBERT’s son Barrett is only one, but he’s already on his way to junking up the whole place. He says that the house is “slap full of toys” thanks to his dad, his mom, his wife’s mom and everybody else. He’s even started secretly taking the toys to The Salvation Army.  Obviously, it’s cool that everyone’s showing the kid so much love, but Brantley wonders if it’s too much.

 

KELLY CLARKSON hopes her kids are tone deaf, so they don’t become entertainers.

 

TRISHA YEARWOOD released the track list to “Let’s Be Frank”. That’s the album of her performing all of her favorite Frank Sinatra songs.  It goes on sale today exclusively at Williams Sonoma and it’ll be available everywhere on February 15th. Garth and Trisha, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry will be performing and honoring DOLLY PARTON at the MusiCares Person of the Year tribute concert.  The ceremony is February 8th, two days before the Grammys. The previously announced performers include Chris Stapleton, Vince Gill, Don Henley, Kacey Musgraves, Pink, Norah Jones, Shawn Mendes, Willie Nelson, and Mavis Staples.
