Grammy Nominations to Be Announced on Dec. 7

The Recording Academy will announce the nominations for the 61st annual Grammy Awards on Dec. 7.

The nominations were originally scheduled to be announced on Dec. 5, but the Recording Academy postponed the announcement out of respect for President George H. W. Bush’s funeral and public viewing.

Many of the top categories will be announced on CBS This Morning at 8:30 a.m. ET on Dec. 7, with the remaining nominees in the 84 categories revealed afterward via grammy.com and social media. The final-round voting takes place from Dec. 13, 2018, to Jan. 9. 2019.

The 61st annual Grammy Awards ceremony will recognize music’s best in the eligibility period from Oct. 1, 2017, to Sept. 30, 2018. The ceremony will be held on Feb. 10, 2019, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Tune in to CBS at 8 p.m. ET to catch the show.
