Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek is contemplating retirement. When asked about his contract expiring in 2020 and subsequently signing a new contract, Trebek said chances are, “50/50 and a little less.”
MTV announced that a Lindsay Lohan reality show will grace our screens in 2019. Lohan said “I’ve joined the MTV family, and I’m Lindsay Lohan. Get ready!” The show will follow Lohan as she tries to expand her business empire with the launch of Lohan Beach House. She has two other ventures in the Greek Islands, the Lohan Nightclub in Athens and Lohan Beach House Rhodes in Rhodes, Greece.
Almost a week after her overdose, DEMI LOVATO is still in the hospital. Sources say she’s suffering extreme nausea and a high fever, which are among the possible after-effects of an OD. Apparently, this was a life-or-death situation for Demi – but she’s expected to make a full recovery. There’s still no word what she overdosed on, but it must have been some sort of opioid, since she was treated with Narcan. KEITH URBAN has waged his own battles with addiction, so the Australian morning show “Today Extra” asked what advice he’d pass on to DEMI LOVATO. He said, “I don’t know anything about her personally. [But I’d] tell her to have good people around her and a willingness to want to live a different way if that’s what she wants to do. It’s all up to her.”

The FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE and BEBE REXHA hit “Meant to Be” has broken the record for the longest stay at Number One on the “Billboard” Hot Country Songs chart. It’s been at the top for 35 weeks. That surpasses the previous record holder, SAM HUNT’s “Body Like A Back Road”, which spent 34 weeks at #1 last year. Ironically, when Sam set that record, he blew past Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise”, which ruled for 24 weeks in 2012-13. TYLER HUBBARD says, “I’m so honored to be a writer and an artist on this song. I’m thankful to just be one of the many people who put so much energy and effort into making music history.” BRIAN KELLEY adds, “The power of music continues to blow our minds, and we are extremely humbled and thankful that ‘Meant’ has spent the better part of a year at the top. Bebe and her camp were a blast to work with.”
JAKE OWEN tells CMT that the Route 91 tragedy is on his mind before every concert. He looks around the venue and wonders, “What if? I’lI walk in and [think] – ‘There are a lot of people here, and there are rooftops all around us.’ No matter what we do, someone can create their own world of destruction.” But he’s not going to let any of that stop him from doing the best show he can. “These people are here to have a good time and it’s up to us to give it to them and not be scared. So that’s what we’ve done since then.” He also feels like the tragedy forged a “special bond” between country artists and their fans. “We’ll never forget the way it felt and how that night changed our perception of the way we appreciate our freedom.”
