The nominees for this year’s Emmys are out . . . and “Game of Thrones” leads the way with 22 nominations. “SNL” and “Westworld” also did well, and Netflix ended HBO’s 17-year run as the most-nominated network.  NBC will air “The Primetime Emmy Awards” live on September 17th.  “Roseanne” got two Emmy nominations, but Roseanne Barr wasn’t personally recognized.  And this year’s Emmy ‘snubs’ include:  “Modern Family”, “The Good Doctor”, “Real Time with Bill Maher”, and Al Pacino.

Police were called to BILL COSBY’s Philadelphia home yesterday, where he was having a party to celebrate his 81st birthday. What happened was, they had a five-piece jazz band, and someone called in a noise complaint.  Cosby’s rep says police never entered the property, and they didn’t make the band stop playing.

In an interview, Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey was asked if men and women actually NEED each other. He said, “Of course.  Men need women to allow them to be vulnerable.  “As humans, we all need that, and I think that’s how women really show their strength.  They let you show your vulnerability . . . and make you feel safe while you’re doing it.  And when guys feel safe, they actually talk about their feelings.  I don’t know why in our culture it’s almost taboo, but it is.  There’s nothing wrong with being that guy, putting yourself out there . . . and telling some woman what you’re thinking.  A woman has to know what you want, just like a man has to know what the woman’s thinking.”

ERIC CHURCH still believes that his fans should hear his music before the critics. That’s why his fan club got to hear his new song, “Desperate Man”, yesterday . . . but it didn’t come out until today. He’ll even be sending them a free copy of the album.  It’s also called “Desperate Man”, and it goes on sale October 5th.  You can check out the cover and the track listing at TheBoot.com.

CAM dropped a new song called “Road to Happiness”. She says, “I’ve met unhappy successful people and happy ‘unsuccessful’ people.  There’s no one road to happiness, it doesn’t exist, it’s an illusion.  This song is me working through all this, and trying to be present and happy in my own way.”

Guess who TRAVIS DENNING cast as the liquor store clerk in his “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs” video. Yep, the real David Ashley Parker.

TYLER RICH doesn’t watch “The Bachelor”. But he does have one surprising guilty pleasure.  “I love, love, love TYLER PERRY . . . like ‘Meet the Browns’.  Those are some of my favorites.  I don’t know why I just am obsessed with those weird, awkward 25 minute comedies.”

This week’s CD Releases include new music from Toby Keith’s daughter, Krystal Keith, plus the soundtrack to the “Mamma Mia” sequel, and the latest insufferable album from the Kidz Bop Kids.
