  1. T is calling for the return of MR. T CEREAL. He Tweeted, “It would be cool if Mr. T cereal made a comeback! Yeah . . . that would be cool! What do you think?” He even hashtagged Quaker so they’d get the message.

ABC officially ordered a “Roseanne” spin-off last night, and ROSEANNE BARR won’t be involved financially or creatively, which was one of the network’s demands. Roseanne had to sign off on it and she did it to help a lot of crew members, who didn’t have guaranteed contracts. She said, “I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from ‘Roseanne’. I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.” The word “settlement” suggests that she might have received a PAYOUT to walk away, but there’s nothing official on that. ABC ordered 10 episodes of the spin-off, which is tentatively being called “The Conners”.  It’s unclear how they’ll explain Roseanne’s absence. In a press release, ABC said the family will be, “forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before, [following] a sudden turn of events.”  Which could mean that they’re killing Roseanne off.  John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson, and Michael Fishman have all signed on, and additional cast members will be announced later.  The show will air on Thursday nights, beginning this fall.

BLAKE SHELTON did an interview with WILLIE GEIST that’ll air on NBC’s “Sunday Today”. They released a preview where Willie asks him about GWEN STEFANI. Blake’s revealed that Gwen’s NOT the reason he and MIRANDA LAMBERT broke up.  He says, “When I was going through my divorce, I hit rock bottom, just like anybody does when they go through something that devastating. “It’s a miracle that I met somebody that was going through the same exact thing that I was at the exact same moment in time. I think in the back of our minds we both kind of thought, ‘This is a rebound deal’ . . . because we were both coming out of a pretty low spot in our lives and were kind of clinging to each other to get through this. But now here we are, going on three years later and every day that goes by it just feels like a stronger bond between the two of us and it constantly feels like it’s going to the next level. That’s the only way either one of us could describe it . . . if she was sitting here.”  Blake’s 42, and Gwen is 48.

“Rolling Stone” asked KAREN FAIRCHILD if anyone in LITTLE BIG TOWN has talked about going solo. Although there have been one-off projects here and there, she doesn’t see anyone permanently breaking away from the band. “We just think we’re better together.  That’s definitely how I feel.  There’s some kind of chemistry between the four of us, and we don’t ever talk about it.  Everybody’s sung on other people’s records before, and we always discuss it as a group and give each other the go-ahead.  We want each other to be creative.” Obviously there are no guarantees . . . but for now, they’re just happy being who they are.

Just weeks after designer Kate Spade died by suicide and one night before her funeral, her father, Earl F. Brosnahan Jr., passed away at the age of 89.

JASON ALDEAN says he offered MIRANDA LAMBERT a different song before they recorded “Drowns the Whiskey”. “After talking to her I realized that she was in the mindset of doing something a little more traditional, and I was like, ‘Well, I have the perfect song’ [and] she jumped on it right from the get-go.”

KIP MOORE tells Taste of Country that he’s juggling several big ideas right now. “I’m working on three different projects.  I’m gonna dig back into the vault with some older songs and turn those into [an] acoustic project.  And then I’m working on two completely different projects for full records.”

The MONKEES canceled their remaining tour dates after MIKE NESMITH landed in the hospital with some sort of “minor” issue.

There’s a new American Girl Doll movie in the works.

This week’s CD Releases include new music from Bebe Rexha and Dan + Shay.

Meryl Streep is 69. She’s received 21 Oscar nominations . . . and won three:

Cyndi Lauper is 65.

Kris Kristofferson is 82.
