Like it or not, the NFL wants players to STOP kneeling for the National Anthem. That’s a fact.  If they were cool with it, Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid wouldn’t be unemployed right now. But it remains to be seen whether they’ll actually do anything about it. The NFL owners talked about it at a meeting yesterday, and “Sports Illustrated” says one idea they talked about was this . . .The home team would decide whether the teams even come out for the anthem . . . and if they do, any players that kneel would earn a 15-yard penalty for their team on its first possession. Other possibilities include:  Allowing each team to implement its own policy . . . clearing the field of all football personnel while the Anthem is played . . . instructing players who don’t want to stand to remain in the locker room . . .Slapping fines on players who don’t stand . . . adding language in contracts to FORCE them to stand . . . or just leaving the current policy in place. The league’s current policy is that players “should” stand . . . but they aren’t REQUIRED to do so. By the way, the owners approved some changes to kickoffs for next season in an effort to make them safer.  They’re mostly minor things, like eliminating the running starts for kickoff coverage teams.

Everyone’s got at least one food they simply can’t eat . . . including celebrities. Here’s a list of Famous People and the Foods They Can’t Stand:

Tom Brady: Strawberries

Jimmy Fallon: Mayonnaise

Michelle Obama: Beets

Martha Stewart: Truffle oil

Gordon Ramsay: Pineapple pizza

Chrissy Teigen: Nutella

Khloe Kardashian: Pork

Kelly Clarkson: Brussels sprouts

Queen Elizabeth: Garlic

“The Big Bang Theory” on CBS was the most-watched show on broadcast TV last year. “NFL Sunday Night Football” was second, followed by “Roseanne” and “This Is Us”.

Memorial Day is almost here, so BROTHERS OSBORNE have a special message for our troops. Quote, “We want to send thanks [for] sacrificing time with your families, sacrificing your own needs, and even sacrificing your lives so we can be free to do what we want to do.  It means more than you’ll ever know.”

CHRIS JANSON’s “Drunk Girl” video features a man and woman who have had one-too-many at a bar and then, wisely, go their separate ways. But there’s a printed warning at the beginning of the video because of a couple of flashback scenes. One shows the woman when she was young and living in an abusive home.  In another, she’s a college student who’s being taken advantage of.  They’re both quick clips and neither is graphic.  Chris says it shouldn’t keep you from watching the video.  “Sometimes these things get swept under the rug.  Sometimes they get pushed so far back in the closet, nobody wants to look at it.  Well, guess what?  It happens every day and it’s something to be thought about.”

Your new “Bachelorette”, BECCA KUFRIN, is already engaged . . . and she’s announcing it before her season even starts. Obviously, the season is done filming, and she got engaged to the winner . . . it’s NOT that she somehow got engaged BEFORE doing the show.  (Although, I guess I shouldn’t say “obviously,” because who knows with these people.) Becca won’t say WHO she is engaged to, because she wants you to tune in to watch her TOURNAMENT OF LOVE, which premieres next Monday.  Of course, this is Becca’s second engagement in six months. Hopefully, she has better luck this time, but as we all know by now, she probably won’t.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE is all-in on the collaboration thing. They’ve done songs with the Chainsmokers, Nelly, Hailee Steinfeld, the Backstreet Boys, plus their current hit with Bebe Rexha, “Meant to Be”. But according to TYLER HUBBARD, this is only the beginning.  Quote, “I think it’d be cool, if we’re continuing to get out of the country world and do something out of our box.  We’ve got a lot of respect for Bruno Mars.  I think he’s amazing.

“Justin Timberlake’s amazing. I think we could do something cool together.  You know who else is random that I think would be fun to work with is Cardi B.  I don’t know, that’s so random, but I think that’d be cool.”

There’s something interesting about hearing SAM HUNT say that he’s ready to start a family. Maybe it’s because he’s made a few “Sexiest Male Country Star” lists.  In a recent radio interview he was asked if he’s thinking about having kids.  He sure is. “Yeah.  I’ve got more baby fever than my wife.  But she’s coming around.  The past couple of weeks she’s brought it up a couple of times.”  Sam and his wife Hannah Lee have been married a little over a year.

Brett Eldredge, Brantley Gilbert, and Cole Swindell will be headlining this year’s Patriotic Festival.  In addition to the music, it’s also a military celebration honoring our armed forces personnel and their families.  It’s going down June 1st through June 3rd in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

You’ve probably heard that CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s husband Mike Fisher has officially retired from the NHL. He posted some parting thoughts on Instagram, and it sure sounds like he won’t be changing his mind this time around.

Blake Shelton has announced on Twitter that he is doing a free concert in Charlotte Wednesday night at Coyote Joe’s. The short notice is intentional: Shelton likes to call such concerts “pop-up shows” and they are intended as a community surprise. The concert is also considered the official launch of Smithworks Vodka in North Carolina this month. Shelton “plays a key role in the brand” and wanted to be a part of the launch by putting on a concert, said a statement from Smithworks Vodka.

75-year-old Stevie Wonder isn’t going anywhere.  He says, quote, “For as long as you breathe, for as long as your heart beats, there’s more for you to do . . . as long as you let your mind work, you don’t have to retire.” Riley Green played the York State Fair in Pennsylvania on Sunday…

Morgan Wallen is on tour and just completed two shows at Glendale Stadium in Arizona.  But he chose an odd way to hype up his night two crowd . . . He talked smack about his night one crowd. Here’s what he said to his night two crowd, “I didn’t know if I was ever…
