Grand Proposal: Brad Paisley Helps Couple Get Engaged During Grand Ole Opry Performance [Watch]

A Grand Ole Opry member since 2001, you never know what Brad Paisley is going to do when he steps on the hallowed Opry circle. On Saturday, May 6, he helped one couple continue the circle of love.

Brad invited local fireman Cody and his girlfriend, Brittany, onstage. After making a little small talk with the couple, Brad handed the mic over to Cody.

“You are the love of my life and my best friend,” said Cody on bended knee. “And I can’t imagine living the rest of my life without you. So will you marry me?”

To the delight of the Opry crowd, Brittany said “yes,” and the couple had their first post-engagement dance as Brad sang “Today.”

Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has died.  His family didn’t announce the exact date or cause of death, but he was diagnosed with dementia and placed in a conservatorship last year.  He was 82.
