Charles Esten to Host CMT Awards With Performances From Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge & More

Charles Esten is one step closer to his goal of world television domination. The star of Nashville—as well as television commercials—announced on Instagram on May 1 that he will be hosting the CMT Awards on June 7.

Charles also added that performers will included Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge. More performers and presenters will be announced in the coming days.

Nominations for the fan-voted awards show will be announced on May 9. Fan voting opens the same day on CMT and continues until June 5.

Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has died.  His family didn’t announce the exact date or cause of death, but he was diagnosed with dementia and placed in a conservatorship last year.  He was 82.
