Set Your DVRs: “Nashville” Returns With Midseason Premiere on June 1

Calling all #Nashies. CMT has announced that it’s highest rated drama, Nashville, is returning to your television sets for the midseason premiere on June 1—picking up 10 weeks after events unfolded in the midseason finale.

If you still need more of a Nashville fix and haven’t gotten enough of your favorite Nashvillians, the one hour drama will also be returning for a brand new season—16 episodes— early next year.

Coming up on the second half of the season, Deacon helps Daphne with a school project, but Daphne feels unmotivated. Juliette gives Maddie unsolicited advice about a song. Scarlett and Gunnar receive news about the baby.

As previously announced, actresses Rachel Bilson (The O.C., Hart of Dixie) and Kaitlin Doubleday (Empire) will be added to the show midseason. Additionally, Jeff Nordling (Big Little Lies) will return as Brad Maitland, the owner of the Nashville’s most successful label.

Don’t worry if you miss an episode, Hulu will continue to stream each episode the day after it airs on CMT. Check out Chip Esten announcing new season on set of Nashville.
