Watch Dwight Yoakam Pay Tribute to the Eagles’ Glenn Frey by Performing “Peaceful Easy Feeling”

Dwight Yoakam brought his denim suitin’, boot-scootin’, Bakersfield hootin’ talents to Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Friday, July 29.

In addition to playing a number of his beloved hits over the course of the two-plus-hour show, Dwight paid tribute to one of his longtime inspirations, Merle Haggard, by covering “Mama Tried,” “Okie From Muskogee” and “Silver Wings.” But the tributes didn’t stop with Merle.

As the show was coming to a close, Dwight shared some heartfelt words about his friend Glenn Frey, the Eagles frontman who passed away earlier this year. In Glenn’s honor, Dwight sang “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”
