Mary Chapin Carpenter Gets Tamed . . . and Wild on “CBS This Morning”

Mary Chapin Carpenter, known for such ’90s hits as “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her” and “Passionate Kisses,” appeared on CBS This Morning on Saturday (July 23) to perform her latest single “Something Tamed, Something Wild.”

Mary Chapin released her 14th studio album, The Things That We Are Made Of, in May and has been crossing the country promoting the album.

“I hope it’s something that you want to listen to,” she told Nash Country Daily about the album. “But also, I have music on in my house all the time and sometimes it’s turned loud enough so that it’s in front of me and other times it’s just a background thing. But I’m familiar with it enough that it’s a comfort thing. I seek a certain artist that I just want to feel enveloped by. So hopefully that’s what it can serve— different purposes.”
