“Jurassic World” was estimated to make about $135 million this weekend, which would have been great.  But it ended up pulling in $204.6 million . . . which was close to a record. It was the second-best opening weekend in HISTORY, behind “The Avengers”, which made $207 million in its opening weekend in 2012.

JOHN STAMOS got a DUI Friday night.  He was pulled over in Beverly Hills after police saw him driving erratically, and apparently he was so out of it that they handcuffed him, and had paramedics take him to a hospital. The cops followed him, and cited him for DUI while he was getting treatment.  Then he was discharged later that night.

TAYLOR SWIFT donated $15,000 to a Texas volunteer firefighter whose family was involved in a car crash last weekend.  Aaron Van Riper was actually one of the responders to a 911 call about the crash. It was only when he got there that he found out his wife and son were involved.  They both suffered several broken bones.  A GoFundMe page was set up, and Taylor was one of almost 3,000 people who donated.  Of course, her donation was the biggest.  So far they’ve raised more than $116,000.  Meanwhile, a couple got married in the parking lot at Taylor’s show Friday in Philadelphia, wedding gown and all.  Her mom found out about it and brought them backstage to meet her and get pictures taken with her.

AMY SCHUMER was eating at a restaurant in New York City when she found out her waiter was a student, and was working two jobs to pay for his education.  So she left him a $500 tip . . . on a $49 check.

BILLY CURRINGTON likes to sell coconuts when he visits Key West, Florida . . . and has been doing it for 20 years.  Quote, “It’s a lot of people getting off cruise ships, people that love coconut water, and we’re right there for them when they get off.”  He even uses it in his Instagram handle, which is @Bccoconutman.

The Thunder on the Mountain country music festival has been cancelled.  It was supposed to go down later this month near Ozark, Arkansas . . . with Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band and The Band Perry as headliners.  It’s not clear why, although they’re using the “due to circumstances beyond our control” excuse.
