Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa festival will go down for a 12th year in Cancun, Mexico.  He’ll be joined by Thomas Rhett, Hardy, Brothers Osborne, Brett Young, and Gavin Adcock. It takes place over four days from January 13th to 16th.  Attendees will stay at an all-inclusive resort with live performances, activities with artists, pool parties, and late-night shows.

Dolly Parton’s former weekend retreat in Solvang, California hit the market for almost $2 million. It’s a triplex built in 1920, and Dolly owned it for 10 years from 2004 to 2014.The property’s unique touches includes a small windmill, Dolly’s wig room, a stained glass window on top of the front door that reads “Dolly” with her butterfly symbol next to it, and a plaque naming the house as her former home.  The current owner says he found some of her belongings with western-themed furnishings.  “She loved wooden angels and wooden tulips, which I have a lot of.”

Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo back on May 18th after almost 10 years of marriage.  A source says it’s a mutual decision between the two of them and a private family matter.  They got married in August of 2016. Dolly Parton launched her own coffee brand called Cup of Ambition.  It’s inspired by her song “9 to 5”.  It’ll first come out at Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop later this month, and then will hit stores nationwide later this year. She says, “It takes a lot of energy to pursue your passion and navigate each day.  That’s why I wanted to make a coffee that works just as hard. “You know, I begin each morning with a head full of dreams, a notepad full of ideas, and a cup or two of coffee.”

Ella Langley posted a video of herself singing a stripped-down cover of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” on piano. According to Billboard, the 2026 edition included performances from The Red Clay Strays, Tucker Wetmore, Chase Rice, Ashley Cooke, The Band Perry, Carly Pearce, Hunter Hayes, and several other country acts. The event served as a gathering place for fans visiting Nashville during one of country music’s busiest weeks of the year.

Throughout the weekend, guests could take part in interactive games, prize giveaways, and fan activities designed to create a full festival experience between sets.

The event also partnered with Under Armour, adding brand activations and attendee experiences across the venue. The collaboration brought another layer to the celebration, blending live music, entertainment, and fan interaction in the heart of CMA Fest festivities.

Country Radio Hall of Famer and longtime Grand Ole Opry announcer Bill Cody passed away Tuesday.  He was 67.  His family recently shared that he was in critical condition due to heart and kidney failure and needed a double transplant. Bill’s son thanked everyone for their prayers over the last few weeks.  Quote, “We know God heard them, and we feel a deep peace that one day we will understand why God chose to still take him.”

Lainey Wilson finally met Tim McGraw at CMA Fest after being a fan since she was a kid. They performed “I Like It I Love It” onstage together.  But when Lainey was a teenager, she actually wrote him a letter, but he never got it. Well, 20 years later, he wrote her a letter.  Tim says he responded as if he had received the letter back then, and what he would’ve said.  He’s also going to write a song about it.

Wynonna Judd is back with new music.  She announced her next album, “The Hard Truth”, comes out October 2nd.  Her first single, “Kentucky Queen”, is out now. She says, “These songs tell the truth about where I’ve been, what I’ve lost, what I’ve overcome, and who I’ve become.  This album asked me to be brave enough to tell the truth, even when my voice shook . . .”My hope is that when you hear these songs, you feel what I was feeling while writing and recording them.  If they help someone feel seen, understood, or a little less alone, then every hard truth was worth telling.”

The station where Cody spent more than three decades announced his death Tuesday, honoring him as a familiar and trusted voice for country music listeners. Cody joined the Nashville station in 1994 and became best known for hosting Coffee, Country & Cody, a morning show built around music, conversation, and regular visits from artists.

A recent family update had said Cody was in the ICU and facing complications related to both his heart and kidneys. Supporters across the country music community had shared prayers and messages as his condition became public.

Cody’s career stretched far beyond one program. He was closely tied to the Grand Ole Opry, where his voice became part of the experience for fans and performers. He was also recognized by major radio and music institutions for his long service to country broadcasting.

Keith Urban is releasing his yacht rock covers album on Friday called “Flow State”. But he didn’t exactly intend on making it.  He recorded a few covers just for fun, and ended up doing more because he and his band had a good time.  “Across four months or so, this album started to reveal itself.  It wanted to get made, I just needed to keep up with it.  None of this was preconceived. I never in a million years thought I would end up making a yacht rock record.”

Ella Langley is going viral for some motivational words she gave Sunday night, telling fans that they are good enough, and loved by God.  A fan posted the clip and said, “Making this my alarm because I need to hear this every day.” Ella said, “The fact that we have a God that loves us is why you are good enough today . . . Because there’s no one else in this world that can give it to you the way that our Lord and Savior can.  “I want you to wake up grateful for the day you’ve been given.  Even the [stuff] that goes wrong, at least you’re living this beautiful life that we have.”

This year’s annual Farm Aid festival is coming to Virginia Beach for the first time.  Of course there will be performances from board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, and Margo Price. Other performers include Turnpike Troubadours, Lukas Nelson, Jesse Welles, and Sierra Ferrell.  It goes down September 26th.  Presale tickets go on sale today, with the general sale on Friday.

One of the biggest moments came when Florida Georgia Line reunited during Tyler Hubbard’s set, marking a notable return for the duo in front of a packed crowd.

Ella Langley also had a strong showing, continuing her rise with a stadium performance that placed her among the weekend’s most talked-about artists. Brandon Lake brought a different tone to the festival with a faith-centered set, while Jelly Roll made an unannounced appearance that added to the weekend’s list of surprises.
