The Rock Hall announced the Class of 2020: The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, T. Rex, and The Notorious B.I.G.  Meanwhile, The Dave Matthews Band and Pat Benatar, who were #1 and #2 in the fan vote, didn’t make the cut.

A few months ago, we heard that there was a “Friends” reunion special in the works with the entire cast. It was going to air on the upcoming HBO Max service. Well, it might not be happening after all.  Negotiations have come to a standstill, with the cast and studio VERY far apart on money.  An HBO exec says, “There is interest all around . . . [but] today it’s just maybe.”

Remember this the next time you’re thinking of calling out sick because your tummy hurts. BROOKS & DUNN performed at the Million Dollar Show fundraiser the other night, even though RONNIE DUNN had pneumonia. And he didn’t sleepwalk through it either.  Just the opposite.  Somebody posted a clip of him doing a sing-along of “Neon Moon” with the crowd. When that was done, he told them, “I’m suffering from pneumonia.  I got a cold and a headache.  I had a couple drinks.  This is where it goes south.” But it didn’t go south.  He launched into an a cappella verse of “Neon Moon” and blew the roof off the place.  The crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Somebody asked DIERKS BENTLEY what he’s doing next – he told them he has “no plans whatsoever.” He lives every moment to its fullest knowing the inspiration will come. He says all the ideas for his previous projects came from admitting that he doesn’t know where he wants to go.  “Because I don’t know.  Let’s go find out.  Let’s investigate and discover, think about it and talk about it and go into the wild.” Dierks’ ninth album, “The Mountain”, came out in 2018.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE will be headlining this year’s Big Machine Vodka 400, which is going down July 4th weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Now that BRETT YOUNG is a dad, he’s probably being asked to help out in the kitchen. Fortunately, he enjoys cooking, and even has a flair for creating something from nothing.  “One of the things I really like to do is throw things together. “[I’ll] look in the fridge see what odds and ends we have and try to come up with something.  I hate to waste food and so, yeah, I enjoy it.  I would say I’m average, maybe better than most guys.”

JASON ALDEAN is extending his We Back Tour into the summer.
