Netflix said that they know certain users are sharing passwords, and they’re “monitoring” the situation. They also said they’re looking into “consumer-friendly ways” of preventing you from doing it. But no imminent changes are in the pipeline despite the fact that it’s costing them a FORTUNE. Three years ago, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said, “Password sharing is something you have to learn to live with, because there’s so much legitimate password sharing . . . sharing with your spouse, with your kids . . . so there’s no bright line, and we’re doing fine as is.” And yesterday, Hastings said that subscriber numbers don’t matter as much anymore, because new services can be made available in bundles with other products.

JAMES HOLZHAUER made his return to “Jeopardy!” last night in the Tournament of Champions. He WON, but not by as much as he’s used to. This time he was taking on fellow winners. James finished with $30,635, while the second-place contestant had $10,800. And while he didn’t destroy the competition, he went into Final Jeopardy not having to bet a dime to win. And now he’s off to the semifinals. Meanwhile, former “Jeopardy!” champion AVI GUPTA is donating $10,000 to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute in honor of ALEX TREBEK. Avi won $100,000 in the Teen Tournament this summer. Now he’s a freshman at Columbia.
DAN RATHER sat down with LITTLE BIG TOWN on his AXS-TV show “The Big Interview” and they talked about band dynamics. He wanted to know if JIMI WESTBROOK and KAREN FAIRCHILD being married causes any “imbalances” in the group. KIMBERLY SCHLAPMAN and PHILLIP SWEET both have outside relationships. As you may know, Jimi and Karen didn’t become a couple until 7 years after the band formed. As it was happening Jimi said they had to step back and ask themselves if it was the right thing to do. “There’s a lot of layers to that. It was important for us to NOT make them feel like it was ever a couple against them. You don’t want that dynamic to change. The thing we figured out is that we still function in the band like we always have.” Phillip said he saw the sparks fly back then, and actually encouraged it. “I was happy. I was like, ‘When happiness is there for you to go get. You must seize the day.’ I was like, ‘Go get her. Go get your girl.'”
For a decade, he was the handsome, quirky boy next door on the hit sitcom, “Friends.” But now Matthew Perry is making fans wonder what’s happened as photos have emerged of the actor wandering around Los Angeles looking like a hobo. The alarming new images show the 50-year-old staggering out of a restaurant Sunday in a state of disarray and sucking on a cigarette with a mystery woman. They immediately raised questions about whether Perry, who has been candid about his years of substance abuse issues, had again fallen off the wagon. He has a history of stints in rehab in 1997 and 2001. He once even said that he was so far removed from the height of his TV career that he doesn’t remember filming multiple seasons of “Friends.”
Dustin Lynch already has a big year planned ahead of him in 2020: He’s set to release his forthcoming 4th album, Tullahoma, on Jan. 17 before embarking on his Stay Country Tour with opener Travis Denning, starting Jan. 30 at Detroit’s The Fillmore. It’s amed after his hometown in Tennessee, his childhood and his Southern roots. “It’s all about me and growing up in my hometown. Every song on this album points to something that happened to me or my close friends and family, and that’s really cool.
