ALEX RODRIGUEZ was suspended from baseball in 2014 for using performance enhancing drugs. Now, he’s talking like it was one of the HIGHLIGHTS OF HIS LIFE. He said, “[It was] one of the best things that happened to me. I really had to understand why I would self-implode with no reasons. I served the longest suspension in Major League Baseball history. The year 2014 became the most pivotal year of my life . . . some very, very long nights, some very lonely nights.  The suspension cost me probably north of $45 million, probably more.  It was worth every penny.  That exercise was the hardest thing I’d ever had to do in my life . . . to let people down and then look them in the eye . . . and say I’m sorry.”

ZOE KRAVITZ will play Catwoman opposite ROBERT PATTINSON in “The Batman”. The movie takes us back to Batman’s early years.  The director says it’ll focus on him in, “detective mode.”

JUSTIN MOORE is built like a 14-year-old boy. And that’s the cool part.  He’s 5’, 6” – but he doesn’t have a complex about it. His wife made him model a pair of “teen jeans” from her store.  She co-owns a kids’ clothing shop in Benton, Arkansas called This Little Piggy.  He said, “It was right after she started getting clothing in, and it was for, I guess teen years, kind of stuff.  And she was all, ‘You could probably wear these.’  And I’m like, ‘Well, I’m not going to.’ “He doesn’t have to because he has a deal with Wrangler.  They send him clothes.  But she really wanted him to try the jeans on, so he caved. “So, I’m like, ‘Alright, whatever.’  [I] think it was like a 14 or 16 or something and they weren’t any too small.  So, just more insult to injury for me just being built like a 14-year-old.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD owns the stage when she performs because every fiber of her being is into the performance. “I definitely use my whole body. I have involuntary body spasms when I sing, which is funny because I don’t realize it when I’m actually singing.  When I look back at performances on TV, and I didn’t realize, it sort of catches you. My best performances are when I’m lost in the songs.” She says that total immersion prevents her from adding fancy dance moves into the show.  That would be too much of a distraction. “I can’t really do [choreography].  Any time I’ve tried, it’s never felt right . . . and the vocals suffer.”

In her most recent musical ventures, Dolly Parton has trended toward faith-based collaborations, and she says her fans can expect more of that in the months to come. In August, Dolly teamed up with Christian duo For King & Country for their song “God Only Knows,” and in October, she duetted with Zach Williams on “There Was Jesus.” Parton plans to have yet another faith-based duet to share with fans in time for the 2019 CMA Awards, which she’ll co-host with Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire. “I’ve got another song that’s gonna drop just a few days before the CMAs called “Faith. It’s a great old song.” Dolly is enjoying her work with Christian artists so much, she’s planning to put together a medley showcasing her new songs at the CMAs. “I’m gonna have a segment on the [show] where I’m doing a faith-based medley, using a choir, of course”. In the future, whether her songs fall into the Christian genre or not, she hopes to make music that is positive and uplifting.
