JENNIFER LOPEZ and SHAKIRA are teaming up to co-headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 2nd at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. J-Lo says, quote, “Ever since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the Halftime Show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl.” Shakira added, “This is a true American dream and we are going to bring the show of a lifetime!” She also noted that it’s her birthday. (She’ll be 43.) Other performers are expected to be added, but there’s no word who.
Joaquin Phoenix lost 52 pounds to play Joker in the upcoming film after the director said he wanted his character to look “wolf-like and malnourished and hungry.”
CHRISSY TEIGEN ate an entire package of Mystery Oreos and followed all the clues the company left behind in order to determine the new, secret flavor. She concluded that it’s either French toast or Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but added, “I need another box to confirm.”

JON PARDI’s new album “Heartache Medication” is out today so he’s showing up everywhere to get the word out. “People” took advantage of that and asked him to “Spill the Tea” on his fellow country stars. When they asked about LUKE BRYAN he remembered the “broke down bulldozer” Luke gave him as a “bad tour present.” He also did his Luke Bryan impression, and it was pretty good. Then they asked about DIERKS BENTLEY. Jon said, “I’m going to throw him under the bus a little bit. He will fart and walk away. [His] diet fluctuates. At one point he was vegan, and it was like, ‘clear the room. Get out of here. Leave.'” They also brought up Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett, but nothing Jon could say about them was going to top the Dierks story.

And when they’re looking for outside stuff to record, they listen to what’s coming in from the hottest new songwriters. CODY JOHNSON wants his next album to have a ’90s feel to it’. He’s digging up songs written before 2000 that may have “slipped through the cracks.” His team threw a party and invited people who wrote or co-wrote songs like “Chattahoochee”, “Stranger in My House”, and “Love Without End, Amen”. A Music City insider said, they don’t want any of the modern stuff.
REBA MCENTIRE will receive the Artist of a Lifetime at the “CMT Artists of the Year” special. Previous recipients include Loretta Lynn, Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers, and Merle Haggard. The show is going down October 16th on CMT. Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, and Thomas Rhett are the Artists of the Year for 2019.
