Today:

Talk Like a Pirate Day, Butterscotch Pudding Day, Meow Like a Pirate Day

A 4th grader in St. Louis got a genius idea for sneaking cheese into an empty lip balm tube so she could eat during class from watching YouTube videos.  The girl said, “I was just looking on YouTube because I was bored and I found this video and I decided to do it.  I just took some of my dad’s cheese, sliced it up, and put it in the Chapstick container.  I just found that, cleaned it out with some soap and started filling it with cheese.  You can lick it and no one will know.”

A 19-year-old woman started a fire in her apartment building while burning love letters from her ex with a butane torch. She left some of the smoldering letters on the floor then went to take a nap.  When she came to, she found that her carpet was on fire.  Firefighters responded quickly and no one was hurt.  She did cause $4,000 in damage to the building and received a citation for negligent burning.

There’s a new Halloween costume on sale this year, ladies, if you want to dress up like . . . SEXY MR. ROGERS. It was created by a company called Yandy that’s known for making some of the more ridiculous “sexy” Halloween costumes. Their new “Nicest Neighbor” costume costs $60 and comes with a tight red V-neck sweater, a detached collar and tie, and high-waisted gray shorts. You can also spend $13 more for the “Be My Neighbor” add-on – a vinyl gray wig and two hand puppets.

TAYLOR SWIFT re-energized her beef with KANYE WEST in a new interview with “Rolling Stone”. She said that when they first reconciled a few years ago, they’d go to dinner and he’d be sweet . . . and then he’d just take shots at her for no reason. Like that infamous phone call, where she agreed to let Kanye rap about her . . . but then behind her back he added the line, “I made that [B—-] famous.” She said, “I realized he’s so two-faced . . . he wants to be nice to me behind the scenes, but then he wants to look cool, get up in front of everyone and talk [B.S.]”

I thought we all knew that nobody, and I mean NOBODY, will ever tame MIRANDA LAMBERT. And yet, there are still those who wonder if her husband Brendan McLoughlin will turn her into someone shiny and new.”  She said, “Definitely not.  I always tell people, ‘I’m really happy, but I’m not too happy.’  I still have that chip on my shoulder that is classic ‘me’ . . .  so, I’m not worried about that.” Miranda’s mantra is to look inside and show us what’s there.  “Whether it’s good, bad or ugly, I kind of just tell my truth.  And right now, it’s pretty good.” Miranda performed a new song called “Track Record” at a show over the weekend, and somebody posted a clip online.  It’s one of the tracks on her album “Wildcard”, which drops November 1st.

LUKE BRYAN has been recording new music for his next album, so what we can expect. He knows people like to throw the pop country label on him . . . but they’d change their minds if they’d listen to more than just his hits. “I don’t necessarily have a theme [for the album.] Typically, I’ve always had stuff that is poppy-country.  But then if you listen to the whole album, there’s very country things on there.  And I think this album is leaning toward that.  “I’ve got stuff that I’m recording that sounds very vintage-like, but then I’ve got some stuff that has new and different sounds on it.  And I think I always have to kind of marry the two.”

No one told MARK-PAUL GOSSELAAR a “Saved By the Bell” revival was happening – he read about it in the news like everybody else. Says he’s interested, but he has another TV gig that might get in the way.

The battle between brothers Aaron and Nick Carter has gotten vicious. Tuesday night, it was revealed that the Backstreet Boys, Nick had obtained a restraining order against his younger sibling, who seems to be having a very public meltdown. In response, Aaron had launched an especially nasty attack on his brother, dredging up rape and abuse allegations against Nick as ammunition.

ASHTON KUTCHER is developing a series for Crackle called “Going From Broke”, where millennials are given help in digging themselves out of student debt.

MICHAEL RAY was too busy being on tour to have a bachelor party. Or so he thought.  A friend with a private plane came through and the next thing you know “People” has photos of Michael’s 18-hour Vegas bachelor party last weekend.

JIMMIE ALLEN learned how to play drums, trumpet, harmonica, and piano before picking up a guitar. And forget lessons, he learned the guitar by “sitting down and figuring it out.”

Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, said on her podcast, “My husband is off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his weight.  And that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby.  [He] doesn’t show it to you guys, but . . . it hurts him. The…

Ever since the great Nashville chair-throw of 2024, no one has heard anything from Morgan Wallen . . . until this past Friday night.  Morgan finally tweeted out and accepted responsibility for his actions.
