Being in prison didn’t stop BILL COSBY from Tweeting out a Father’s Day message yesterday. He said, “Hey, Hey, Hey . . . It’s America’s Dad . . . I know it’s late, but to all of the Dads . . . It’s an honor to be called a Father, so let’s make today a renewed oath to fulfilling our purpose, strengthening our families and communities.”

 

Back in 1980, DANNY LLOYD played JACK NICHOLSON’s son in “The Shining”. Now he’s 46 and he’s a biology professor at a community college in Kentucky. And he doesn’t really like his students to know about his past, because it can create a distraction in the classroom. The sequel, “Doctor Sleep”, comes out in November.  The trailer was released last week, and Danny says he was surprised to see footage of himself from the original in it.  But he’s definitely excited for it:”I’d like to see it right when it comes out.”

 

A new book says PRINCE HARRY developed a crush on JENNIFER ANISTON in 2009, when he was 26 . . . and he started texting her. But Jennifer was 40 at the time, and not really interested.

 

The British tabloids say CHRIS MARTIN and DAKOTA JOHNSON have split up after about a year and a half together. Supposedly, he wanted more kids, and she wasn’t ready for that.

 

“Men in Black International” won the box office over the weekend, but it only made $28.5 million. That’s the smallest opening ever for a “Men in Black” movie.  It reportedly cost $110 million to make.  The new “Shaft” opened in 6th place, with just $8.3 million.

 

DAVID BOWIE wasn’t born with two different-colored eyes . . . his one eye became permanently dilated after a childhood friend PUNCHED HIM during a fight over a girl. It made it look dark brown, while his other eye was blue.

 

Whiskey Riff has video of LUKE BRYAN catching a pair of panties that were thrown on stage while he was performing over the weekend. It may have been a “reflex thing” where you catch something just because it’s coming right at you. Anyway, as soon as he realized what he was holding, he tossed them aside.  But at least he was able to laugh about it.

 

LORETTA LYNN saw a tabloid story saying that she’s in a nursing home and on her deathbed and that Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson want to visit her “before it’s too late.” Well, Loretta posted a video on Facebook saying, “You’re kidding me!  I ain’t dead and neither is Willie and both of us are coming back a lot and we’re going to raise hell.”  Loretta turned 87 back in April.

 

Jimmy Kimmel, who grew up in Las Vegas and made his entertainment debut as a radio DJ, said that his greatest wish was to give local kids an opportunity to explore the profession close to home — something that wasn’t available to him. Surrounded by friends and family, Jimmy Kimmel on Friday night hosted the grand opening of his comedy club at Las Vegas’ Linq Promenade.

 

Hunt Auctions, which handled Saturday’s sale, says this price breaks a record for the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia ever sold. A Babe Ruth road jersey dating to 1928-30 has sold at auction for $5.64 million.

 

FAITH HILL shared a photo of TIM MCGRAW and her late father. She wrote, “One of my favorites.  Daddy may no longer be here on earth but he touched us all in the most profound way and we’ll always feel his presence.  Daddy loved Tim and they shared many moments like this.  Just the two of them.  Happy Father’s Day.”

 

CARRIE UNDERWOOD honored her husband Mike Fisher on Father’s Day with a photo of him playing with their two sons, Isaiah and Jacob. She captioned it, “This picture sums up fatherhood.  “To all the frog catching, bedtime story-reading, wrestling, diaper changing, outside playing, adventure seeking, tickling, cuddling, loving dads out there.  Happy Father’s Day.  Mike, your boys sure do love you and are so lucky to have you.”

 

MIRANDA LAMBERT wished her dad a Happy Father’s Day by posting a photo of them together. She wrote, “Thanks for teaching me how to play a guitar, write a song, handle a gun, and stand strong in who I am.  For all the Haggard songs and all the fried eggs and bacon first thing in the morning for 35 years.  #RickLambert” Speaking of Miranda:  Page Six suggests that her forearm tattoo is dedicated to her husband Brendan McLoughlin.

 

TRISHA YEARWOOD announced the details of her 2019 Every Girl on Tour. It kicks off October 3rd with three consecutive nights in Nashville, and then bounces around the country through December 8th in Naples, Florida.  She says, “I can’t wait to take my tour solo for the first time in five years.”

KEITH URBAN has added a new leg to his Graffiti U World Tour. It starts June 22nd in Chicago and will be hitting summer fairs and festivals . . . and then wrapping October 18th in Durant, Oklahoma.

“Romeo and Juliet” director Franco Zeffirelli died Saturday. He was 96.

 

There were a lot of years there where underwear kept getting smaller and smaller. Now it’s moving the other way. Apparently, the GRANNY PANTIES fashion trend is here.  Celebrities with fashion lines, like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian, are pushing underwear with a high waist and LOTS of coverage in the front and the back. But . . . they’re also trying their best to make the look SEXY by adding lace, sheer fabrics, and more flattering cuts on the legs.

 

TAYLOR SWIFT’s video for her LGBT anthem “You Need to Calm Down” features cameos by Ciara, Ryan Reynolds, and a lot of LGBT celebrities. The list of cameos also includes: Ellen DeGeneres, RuPaul, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Laverne Cox, Adam Lambert, the cast of “Queer Eye”, Todrick Hall, and Adam Rippon. (In a preview for the video, she suggested that there were even MORE cameos, but those are the only names she revealed ahead of time.) And on Friday, Taylor gave a surprise performance at the Stonewall Inn in New York City, and wished the largely LGBT crowd a happy Pride Month.

 

O.J. SIMPSON is on Twitter. In his debut post, he said, “You’ll get to read my thoughts and opinions on just about everything . . . It should be a lot of fun. I got a little gettin’ even to do.” In a follow-up video, he said, “For years people have been able to say whatever they wanted to say about me, with no accountability.  But now I can challenge a lot of that B.S. and set the record straight.” Like I said . . . this is about to get interesting. O.J.’s Twitter handle is TheRealOJ32, and as of last night he had more than half a million followers.  Thirty-two was O.J.’s jersey number when he played with both the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers.

Erin & Diane Murphy are 55. Twin sisters who shared the role of Tabitha on “Bewitched”.  They were fraternal twins, not identical ones . . . so, when they started looking less alike, Diane was fired, and Erin got to keep the job.
