A lot of people listen to music to relax and de-stress, so a new survey asked people which songs they turn on to keep calm. It’s worth noting:  The survey was done in Britain . . . but the Top 10 songs are popular in the states too. Here they are:

ALEX TREBEK says his stage 4 pancreataic cancer is nearing REMISSION. He tells “People” magazine, “It’s kind of mind-boggling. The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory . . . some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.” He’s still facing several more rounds of chemo, but he’s optimistic.  And he thinks the “good thoughts” and “positive energy” from his millions of fans is helping. “I told the doctors, this has to be more than just the chemo, and they agreed it could very well be an important part of this. I’ve got a lot of love out there headed in my direction and a lot of prayer, and I will never ever minimize the value of that.”

It still feels like I’m swallowing a cactus, but slowly making progress!

ASHTON KUTCHER was a witness in a murder trial yesterday and the victim was a woman he was DATING at the time. Her name was Ashley Ellerin, and she was 22 when she was stabbed to death in February of 2001. The night she was killed, she was supposed to go out with Ashton.  But he couldn’t get a hold of her by phone, and when he showed up at her house, she didn’t answer the door.  He tried to open it but it was locked. He looked in through a window and saw what he thought were red wine stains on the carpet.  He figured he’d been stood up, and he left.  Obviously, those were NOT wine stains.  It was Ashley’s blood.  She’d been attacked after she got out of the shower. The man on trial for her murder is also accused of killing two other women, and attempting to murder a fourth.  Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Ashton told his story on the witness stand, and even admitted that he was worried at the time because his fingerprints were on the doorknob.

JASON ALDEAN says he spends hours puzzling over his set list when he’s on tour, and changes it when it doesn’t feel right. “I sit down for hours and stack songs and move ’em around, almost like a puzzle, and try to figure out what works best.  But until you get on stage and start playing the songs and feel energy here . . . or less energy here . . . it’s hard to tell.” He’s several weeks into his Ride All Night Tour right now and still finds himself in the dressing room moving things around trying to put together the perfect show.
