On “Ellen” yesterday, Tom Hanks said he was DENIED BEER at the Stagecoach Festival. He’d gone up to the beer stand, but they wouldn’t serve him . . . because he didn’t have a bracelet proving that he was allowed to drink. They told him he had to go have his I.D. verified, get a bracelet, and come back. Obviously, he thought that was ridiculous, because he’s 62 . . . AND he’s Tom Hanks.  But they wouldn’t budge. He even tried to bribe them with tickets to the “Toy Story 4” premiere, but it didn’t work. He eventually got a bracelet . . . AND a beer.

If you spent any time online after the “Game of Thrones” series finale on Sunday, you’d probably think the WHOLE WORLD hated the ending. But a survey of 2,200 people shows that’s not necessarily the case. 26% of viewers said they liked the finale “a lot,” while 37% liked it “some,” 24% “didn’t really like it,” and just 10% “didn’t like it at all.”

DALE EARNHARDT JR. is happy he quit smoking. He says, “I started coughing more, getting sore throats.  I was sick more frequently than people who didn’t smoke . . . I had a habit that was killing me.”

JENNIFER GARNER gave the commencement speech at Denison University in Ohio, where she graduated in 1994. And she had eight life tips for the graduates.

  1. “Don’t walk down the Grand Canyon to see what it looks like from the bottom.
  2. “Don’t smoke and don’t vape.
  3. “I’m going to say this because everyone says it, but you won’t listen because nobody does: Nothing looks better in your 50s than sunscreen in your 20s.”
  4. “When it comes to Halloween costumes, go funny over sexy
  5. “Mixed signals are not mixed signals, they’re a no.”
  6. “Have a book on your bedside table at all times . . . and read it, obviously. Be in charge of your consumption of social media. And foster a sense of humor about yourselves because otherwise, you run the risk of being boring.”
  7. “If you’re a woman, the stage has been set. The world is yours to grab. Go out and get it, girl.”
  8. “Finally, stay close to your friends from college. You’ve just spent four years hanging out with them.

BRANTLEY GILBERT’s deer farm in Alabama is called Countrywide Whitetails, and if you lay down enough money, you can go hunting there. It’s there to help veterans. He says, “We built that farm for veterans, period.  Whatever it is they struggle with.  Whether it’s just everyday things we all deal with or if it is PTSD, or whatever, that farm for me, once you pull in the gate, everything else is outside. And it’s just like a sanctuary and you know, to be able to share that with folks that deserve it . . . it’s been amazing.”

ABC staged its live performance of episodes of “All in the Family” and “The Jeffersons” last night, and the online reviews have been relatively positive. The event was hosted by JIMMY KIMMEL and the guy who created both shows, 96-year-old NORMAN LEAR, and featured an all-star cast. One highlight was 87-year-old MARLA GIBBS returning to reprise her role as Florence the maid on “The Jeffersons”. To keep it a surprise, the press had been told Florence would be played by “One Day at a Time’s” Justina Machado . . . who was NOT in the cast.  MARISA TOMEI and WOODY HARRELSON handled the “All in the Family” theme song as Edith and Archie Bunker. And JENNIFER HUDSON sang the “Jeffersons” theme live.  JAMIE FOXX was the only actor from either show to mess up.  He played George Jefferson.  His flub actually came during “All in the Family” portion of the show, and the rest of the cast had a hard time keeping a straight face. He immediately called himself out and said, “It’s live!  Everyone’s sitting at home thinking their TV’s just messed up.”

When MAREN MORRIS watched “A STAR IS BORN” with her husband Ryan Hurd, it took her to a dark place. Just like the movie, they’re both singers – and she’s more famous than he is. But the similarities go beyond that.  She talked about it in an interview with “Women’s Health”.  “I had no idea what I was getting myself into.  I had to go to therapy.  Not the substance abuse part – but there were things that happened to [Lady Gaga’s] character that happened to me.  That movie rocked us both.  We were like, ‘We can never end up like this. “ They’ve been married a little over a year, and the good news is their relationship is strong.  She adds, “Sometimes you think you know all there is to know about somebody, and then a year happens and you keep surprising each other.”

THOMAS RHETT recently had a chance to spend time with Marines who returned from an 18-month deployment, and he loved every minute of it. He even has trouble putting into words how much he respects what they do. “[The] sheer thankfulness I have that I get to write songs and play music because of what they’re doing for us in whatever part of the world they may be in.  Just super grateful and constantly in our thoughts and in our prayers.”

PINK brought out a special guest at her Madison Square Garden show on Tuesday. CHRIS STAPLETON helped her perform “Love Me Anyway”.  They hugged when it was over and then Pink laid down on the floor swooning over his vocal skills. She also posted a photo on Instagram, and wrote, “One of my absolute favorite songwriters, favorite voice, and person.  What an absolute honor to share a stage with you, my friend.”

How does CARRIE UNDERWOOD stay in shape while on the road? A tricked-out mobile gym that has a couple of cardio machines, free weights, and a husband.  She shared a photo yesterday of herself and Mike Fisher putting the dumbbells to good use.

KENDALL JENNER and 76ers star BEN SIMMONS may have broken up.

Hank Williams, Jr., has been searching high and low for a family heirloom, and he’s offering fans a hefty reward if they can help him find it. Bocephus is offering a $6,000 reward for the return of his grandfather’s shotgun, “no questions asked.” The Remington Model 11/48 16-gauge shotgun with the serial number ending in 58111 has a great deal of sentimental value to him and his family.

“This is Farrah Fawcett” at 8:00 p.m. on ABC. A tribute for the upcoming 10th anniversary of her death.  Farrah lost her battle with cancer on June 25, 2009, which was the same day Michael Jackson died.

The fifth annual two-hour “Red Nose Day” special at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.

“Hollywood Game Night: Red Nose Day” at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.  Kelly Clarkson, Kenan Thompson, Kristen Bell, and Jennifer Garner are among the celebrities competing for charity on this Red Nose Day special.
