Doris Day is not having a funeral and that’s how she would have wanted it. Longtime manager Bob Bashara said, “She didn’t like death, and she couldn’t be with her animals if they had to be put down … I think it was because she was a very shy person. She never let her celebrity affect her and who she was, and she was always the little girl from Cincinnati who was extraordinarily talented and went out in the world and did what she loved to do despite herself.” Doris Day passed away Monday (at the age of 97.
TIM CONWAY died yesterday. He was 85. He became a star on “The Carol Burnett Show” in the ’70s, and he did the voice of Mermaid Man’s sidekick, Barnacle Boy in “SpongeBob SquarePants”.

It was over “putting ketchup on a hot dog.” Vanna puts mustard and ketchup on hers, Pat prefers just ketchup. Vanna can’t really deny she’s got the easiest job in TV, but she says it’s not as easy as everyone thinks it is, “Six shows a day in five-inch heels, it’s hard work.” Vanna also made it known that she’s behind “Jeopardy!” host ALEX TREBEK in his battle with cancer. “We’ve known each other for over 30 years, of course. And even though he’s on a different show, we’re still the same family so I’m there and supporting him and praying for him.”
BRANTLEY GILBERT has been watching a lot of kid’s shows these days thanks to his 18-month-old son, Barrett. “What’s funny is like the animated movies and stuff – I love ’em. He loves ‘Puppy Dog Pals’, he loves Mickey, he likes ‘Paw Patrol’.” But Brantley feels his son does NOT watch enough TV. Barrett’s always bugging mom and dad to go outside, which cuts into Brantley’s TV time. The good news for Brantley is that more kid’s TV shows will be coming his way. He and his wife Amber are expecting a baby girl in September.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD is still bringing fans on stage to perform the Ludacris rap from “The Champion”. At her show in Vegas it was a man in wheelchair named who has spina bifida. He totally nailed the rap. She gave him a big hug, said he’s amazing, and then grabbed a camera and took a selfie with him. She also posted a great photo of them on stage.

Walt Disney Pictures has cast Josh Gad in the upcoming reboot of the popular 1989 movie Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Gad will star as the grown-up son of scientist Wayne Szalinski, played by Rick Moranis in the first movie.
