RICKY SCHRODER from Silver Spoons was arrested yesterday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Police were called to his home at around 12:43 A.M. after he allegedly struck his girlfriend. Last night, he was being held on $50,000 bond. This is Ricky’s 2nd domestic violence arrest in a month. He was also hauled in on April 2nd, but that case was dropped due to lack of evidence. Ricky is 49.
Even though he’s battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer, ALEX TREBEK looks and sounds fantastic. He was on “Good Morning America” yesterday -“My oncologist tells me I’m doing well, even though I don’t always feel it. I’m not used to dealing with the surges that come on suddenly of deep, deep sadness, and it brings tears to my eyes. I’ve had so many contacts from people who have survived cancer for 10 years, 12 years, 14 years. I am now a 30-day cancer survivor. I’m going to catch up to those other people. People all over America have been sharing their good thoughts, their advice, their prayers. And I feel it is making a difference in my well-being.”
Universal Orlando Resort has announced that its new TODAY Cafe will open to the public starting Thursday, May 16. The new establishment is located in Universal Studios and will be themed around the NBC morning show. Al Roker had a hand in designing the menu, with seasonal dishes “inspired by [his] favorite recipes.” There’s the The Carnegie Platter (a piled-high sandwich in the style of Manhattan’s historic Carnegie Deli, which closed its doors in 2016), the Mulberry Street Italian Platter, and the Chinatown Chicken Salad.
Marvel is pulling out of Netflix . . . but there’s plenty of Marvel content coming to Disney+ and Hulu. Hulu announced two new live-action Marvel series, “Helstrom” and “Ghost Rider”. Meanwhile, Disney is reportedly in “serious discussions” with Ron Howard about producing a show that would serve as a SEQUEL to the 1988 movie “Willow”. If it comes together, it would be for Disney+.

TMZ says MARIE OSMOND will take SARA GILBERT’s spot on “The Talk”. The official announcement will be made next Tuesday. She’ll have to do double-duty at first, because her Vegas show runs through November.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s “Cry Pretty Tour” kicked-off last night and she was on yesterday’s “Today Show”. She talked about the pressures of trying to balance a career and a family. NATALIE MORALES suggested that Carrie sets the bar higher than the average working mom. But Carrie said, “Everything that we all do is just as difficult, but in different ways. I know what it’s like to juggle, that’s what parents do.” Carrie said she’s in a good place and feels really good, and that’s because she stopped trying to be perfect and she started putting one foot in front of the other instead of trying to plan everything out. The two of them did a Kettlebell workout, and Carrie talked about how important fitness is in her life. “It allows me to be better having that hour in the morning. I’m a better mom, a better performer, a better wife. I just feel better when I get to workout.”

She said, “So Mother’s Day is coming up and I have something for you to give to [Gwen]” . . . and out came an engagement countdown clock that showed an image of Blake and Gwen kissing. He played along, “So you’re saying, there’s a chance she’s gonna ask me to marry her with this clock?” Ellen responded with, “ll call her tonight.”
