SHANNEN DOHERTY has joined the cast of the “Beverly Hills 90210” revival. Shannen was one of only two original cast members who weren’t on board when the show was first announced. Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling were all in from the start. Sadly, the other holdout was LUKE PERRY, and obviously that’ll never happen now. The show will be called “BH90210”, and it’s scheduled to debut this summer.
HALLE BERRY trained so hard for “John Wick 3” that she broke three ribs. She says, “It’s like a badge of honor for me. I don’t know how it happened. Really, we don’t know.”
BEA ARTHUR’s son says there’s no truth to the rumor that his mom hated BETTY WHITE. He says, “I think my mom had some problems with her, but she liked her . . . We all need to have somebody that we can let get under our skin.”
The Big Bang Theory records its series finale tomorrow
It’s a little unusual for CARRIE UNDERWOOD to come out with a party song like “Southbound”. But she got together with her writing partners to do “something fun” and then it went in that direction. And the more it morphed into something rowdy, the more she learned about the difference between male and female songwriters. “You realize how tricky it is to be a woman and write a drinking-party-boat song. It’s strange.” What she figured out was that she could write lyrics like that by making it about someone else. So when she sings that “Katie should take it slow while dancin’ on the dock” . . . it’s not her point of view. She used Katie in the song as an example. We wanted to make her have a little too much fun. [We] still had to make Katie have a little respect, but wanted to just get it out there that some people were having too much fun.
I’d love to tell you who CHRIS YOUNG is dating right now, but I don’t know. I don’t even know IF he’s seeing anyone. And that’s exactly how he likes it. “I know it drives people nuts, but that was a conscious decision I made several years ago. I tell people when I’ve been dating somebody before, but I also do like to keep my private life private. Anytime there’s a really good breakup, I’m like, well, she broke my heart. It’s time to go write an album.” He’s about to put the finishing touches on his eighth album. “I’m done singing. We’re doing the final couple [of] mix things. My plan is to have it in mastering before we fly out to Europe at the top of next month for shows.“ No word when it’ll be out.
A Washburn University defensive back was killed in a shooting Sunday morning in Topeka, Kansas. The shooting also injured teammate Corey Ballentine, who was drafted by the New York Giants on Saturday. Washburn president Jerry Farley confirmed that Dwane Simmons, 23, was killed in the shooting in a letter to the school Sunday. Ballentine is expected to make a full recovery.
“And then there were 3…”Taylor Swift confirmed that the alittle feline featured in her new “ME!” video is in fact hers. In a Friday Instagram Live – she told the story of how the kitten, named Benjamin Button, ended up coming home with her. “He was just a cute kitten who didn’t have a home,” he was part of a program that “tries to get cute kittens adopted by putting them in commercials and stuff.”
CHRIS STAPLETON sings on a new song by PINK. It’s called “Love Me Anyway”, and it’s on her new album, “Hurts 2B Human”, which came out Friday.
SAM HUNT says he’ll be going into the studio in July and August to finish up his second album. “For the most part the record’s there, it’s just a matter of recording it.”
WILLIE NELSON announced the release date and track listing for his new album. It’s called “Ride Me Back Home”, and it’ll be out June 21st.
When MIRANDA LAMBERT and her husband Brendan McLoughlin walk the streets of New York, photos are taken. They were spotted Saturday wearing ball caps and “strolling” through SOHO.
DENNIS QUAID plays a ladies man who gets what’s coming to him in the Director’s Cut of MIDLAND’s “Mr. Lonely” video. The women he’s wronged knocks out his tooth, throws a pie in his face, and hits him in the privates with a plank.
Pat Sajak will now serve as chairman at Hillsdale College in Michigan. He’s been preparing for months to succeed outgoing chairman William Brodbeck by spending time with students and staff on campus. Sajak’s new post will not interfere with the Wheel of Fortune tapings.
