Jordan Peele’s horror movie knocked Captain Marvel from the top spot at the box office this weekend. Us brought in more than $70 million in its first week.

 

After all the rumors surrounding his future the last few months, Rob Gronkowski is finally retiring. Gronk took to Instagram and posted a heartfelt message announcing that he was done with football.

 

If you ever visit Iceland, there’s a gorgeous canyon with a beautiful river running through it that you should really check out. Except you CAN’T.  And it’s JUSTIN BIEBER’s fault. Justin filmed his “I’ll Show You” video there in 2015, and ever since then it’s been overrun by tourists.  There’s been an increase in foot traffic of between 50 and 80 percent over the last several years. That’s caused a lot of damage . . . so environmental officials are shutting it down until June, to allow it to recover.

 

Papa John’s has signed former NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal to pitch its pizzas. Company chairman Jeff Smith said, “Shaquille has an excellent entrepreneurial background, including as a restaurant franchise owner.”  O’Neal owns a Krispy Kreme franchise in Atlanta, a Big Chicken restaurant in Las Vegas, and Shaquille’s fine-dining restaurant in Los Angeles.

 

The cast of Parks and Recreation reunited at PaleyFest in Los Angeles. Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Adam Scott, Rashida Jones, Aziz Anasari, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Retta, Jim O’Heir, Rob Lowe and Patton Oswalt moderated.  The topic of reviving the series came up and series co-creator Mike Schur said, “Everyone on this stage – and like 6 other people – would have to feel like there was a story that needed to be told.”

 

 

Want to hang out with your favorite country star? Reach out to them on social media.  It worked for some guy in Wisconsin who asked RILEY GREEN to go hunting. Riley talked about it on Taste of Country Nights.  “I went to Wisconsin this past year and hunted with a guy who just reached out and messaged me on Instagram. We went deer hunting up in Buffalo County, which is one of the best counties in the country.  I always wanted to go up there and he just kind of stayed on me.” He was asked if he felt a little nervous going out in the middle of nowhere with a stranger.  He said, “I carried a bow and arrow with me, so as long as they gave me some warning they were coming, I would be alright.” Turns out the guy’s kid went along too – he played guitar and was a big fan.  Riley said they had a great time.

 

BROOKS & DUNN have released another collaboration from their “Reboot” album. BRETT YOUNG joins them on a remake of “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You”. They changed the lyrics from “Nothing about you” . . . to “Nothing about HER”.  “Reboot” drops April 5th.

 

TIM MCGRAW posted a photo last week of a massive fish that he caught. “Personal best.  Hog fish.  Pole spear free dive – 35 feet.”  Caught off the coast of the private island he and Faith own in the Bahamas.

 

Cole Swindell, Old Dominion, Lindsay Ell, Midland, Locash, Deana Carter, Tenille Townes, and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott have been added to the lineup of this year’s ACM Party for a Cause, which happens the weekend of April 5th. Proceeds go to the ACM Lifting Lives charity.

 

Carrie Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher is now a U.S. citizen. He posted a photo of himself waving a flag on his Instagram story, and he captioned it.  “Big day.  I’m officially American.”  Mike was born in Canada and rose to fame play in the NHL.

 

The daughters of actress Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband remain enrolled at the University of Southern California as their parents face criminal charges for their alleged participation in a college admissions bribery scheme
