Woodstock is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new event in Watkins Glen, New York over the weekend of August 16th, and the lineup was just announced. As we’d heard, the headliners include: Jay-Z, Imagine Dragons, Miley Cyrus, Halsey, and Santana, and Greta Van Fleet. In addition to Santana, and some other returning legacy acts include:  John Fogerty, John Sebastian, Country Joe McDonald, Canned Heat, and Hot Tuna. John Fogerty says, “The mood in the country is different, similar in many respects, but different.  I’m very glad that I’m able to be here 50 years later . . . I’m going to be playing most of the same songs that I played then.”

JAKE OWEN admitted to doing something on stage that sounds like a lot of fun. For him.  For his band?  Maybe not. “When I’m out on the road with the guys in my band.  There are a lot of nights where I’ll [say] to myself ‘I’m going to play this next note or go into this part of this weird song just to see if my band can follow me.'” He doesn’t do it to be mean or keep them in line.  It’s mostly about keeping things interesting and fun . . . and he’s not super serious about it.  He actually has “faith” that the guys will keep up.

CODY JOHNSON was talking about artists who complain when they don’t get nominated for an award, and he came up with the perfect analogy. He says they’re the kind of artists who spend too much time being jealous and whining about what they don’t have instead of focusing on getting better. Obviously, he’ll take a nomination if he deserves one, but he won’t base his confidence or happiness on it.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD posted a photo on Instagram of herself in her workout clothes, and she looks amazing. But her caption doesn’t agree.  It starts off with her saying she’s having a tough time bouncing back after giving birth to Jacob in January. She can’t run as fast, or lift as much weight as she used to.  But then she comes to terms with the changes, and vows to accept and appreciate what her body CAN do instead of focusing on what it can’t.  “I promise to stop analyzing every angle and every curve and every pound and every meal.  I’m going to keep staying the path because it is a journey and as long as I’m always working towards my goals, one day I’ll reach them.”

KANE BROWN filed a counterclaim against a producer who sued him for breach of contract. The producer says when Kane signed with Sony Music it violated a deal that they had.  But Kane’s attorneys are arguing that the deal was fraudulent.

Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Brandi Carlile, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, & Ashley McBryde – added to the list of performers for next month’s ACMs.

JAMES CORDEN will host the “Tonys”.

Disney’s Pixar released a trailer featuring its beloved Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the Toy Story gang. The trailer opens with Woody introducing Forky – a utensil-turned-toy created by their new owner Bonnie.  He says, “Forky is the most important toy to Bonnie right now.  We all have to make sure nothing happens to him.”  Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 21.

Carl Reiner is 97.
