Did you know that mixing Coca-Cola and MILK was a thing? A fairly big thing, apparently. The hashtag The TV show “Laverne & Shirley” had a running gag in the ’70s about how Laverne’s favorite drink was milk-and-Pepsi . . . because it was actress Penny Marshall’s favorite drink in real life.  Well, “Milk Coke” has been trending online.  And people are coming out of the woodwork to say that yes, they enjoy a little Milk Coke every now and then. They claim it’s kind of like a Coke float, where you pour it over vanilla ice cream.

 

ALEX TREBEK was just diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He’s 78 years old. He posted a video saying, “Normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working. And with the love and support of my family and friends, and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to BEAT the low survival rates statistics for this disease.” He will continue to host “Jeopardy!”, at least for now.  Alex has a FANTASTIC sense of humor, and he even joked . . . “Truth told, I have to [beat it], because under the terms of my contract, I have to host ‘Jeopardy!’ for three more years!  So help me!  Keep the faith, and we’ll win.”

 

In a feature for “Elle” magazine, TAYLOR SWIFT says KIM KARDASHIAN’s taunting put her in a “low” place by starting an online hate campaign, calling her a snake on the internet – but that it ultimately helped her learn how to triumph over a bully. Taylor wrote an essay called ’30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30′ . . . which is appropriate because her 30th birthday is on December 13th. Here are 10 more things she learned:

  1. “Being sweet to everyone all the time can get you into a lot of trouble.”
  2. “I learned to stop hating every ounce of fat on my body.”
  3. “I learned not to let outside opinions establish the value I place on my own life choices.”
  4. ‘When tragedy strikes someone you know in a way you’ve never dealt with before, it’s okay to say that you don’t know what to say.”
  5. “Vitamins make me feel so much better!”
  6. “Before you jump in headfirst, maybe, I don’t know . . . get to know someone!”
  7. “I’ve had to learn how to handle serious illness in my family. “It’s taught me that there are real problems and then there’s everything else.” It’s in this section that she reveals her mom’s cancer has returned.
  8. “I make countdowns for things I’m excited about.”
  9. “I’m finding my voice in terms of politics “
  10. “My mom always tells me that when I was a little kid, she never had to punish me for misbehaving because I would punish myself even worse . . .

“Now I’ve come to a realization that I need to be able to forgive myself for making the wrong choice, trusting the wrong person, or figuratively falling on my face in front of everyone.”

HAILEY BIEBER realizes her church life and her modeling job are kind of at odds, but she says, “I think that the bigger purpose behind [modeling] is for me to be a light in this place. And I’m here to represent Jesus through me for other people.”

 

CBS This Morning” aired the rest of R. KELLY’s freakout yesterday, and it got WAY worse. He actually stood up and yelled, “I gave y’all 30 years of my [effing] career! . . . Are y’all trying to kill me?  You’re killing me, man!  This is not about music.”

 

“Us Weekly” says that BRADLEY COOPER is ready to move on from “A Star is Born” now that award season is over. But LADY GAGA is having a harder time letting go (she] feels things very deeply.”

 

PAUL REISER and HELEN HUNT are coming back for “Mad About You”. It’ll air on a new streaming platform called Spectrum Originals.  It’s coming back later this year for a limited run.

 

KELSEA BALLERINI was invited to join The Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday. She was performing with LITTLE BIG TOWN and they snuck the invite into the lyrics of “Girl Crush”. Kelsea started off the song in the usual way, singing, “I got a girl crush, hate to admit it” . . . and then KAREN FAIRCHILD sang, “Kelsea Ballerini, do you want to join the Opry?”  That was it.  She burst into tears and there were hugs all around. In an interview after the show she talked about walking onto the stage earlier in the day and how she “wept” after seeing the famous Opry circle.  She’ll be the youngest current member when she’s formally inducted in April.

 

JASON ALDEAN is receiving the Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award at next month’s ACMs. The award goes to someone who has “dominated country music over the decade”.  Jason released a statement saying, “My heroes are on this list, something I can’t really even wrap my head around being a part of.  But man, I’m proud to be getting it . . . it’s for everyone who stuck with us and supported us through the years.” It’s only been given to five other artists:  Marty Robbins in 1969, Loretta Lynn in 1979, Alabama in 1988, Garth Brooks in 1998, and George Strait in 2009. He’ll also be performing on the show, which is going down April 7th in Vegas.  Reba McEntire is the host, and it’ll air on CBS.

 

Former NCIS star PAULEY PERRETTE is returning to CBS in a comedy called “Broke”.

 

Every episode of “Riverdale” for the rest of the season will be dedicated to LUKE PERRY.

 

LUKE COMBS asked fans to submit photos of themselves that include lyrics to “Beautiful Crazy” . . . and they came through. He released a video of the song and it’s wall-to-wall pics of their submissions.  There’s a great shot of him at the very end posing with a young fan.

 

KACEY MUSGRAVES stars in a “Vogue” magazine video that shows her wearing different outfits from Fashion Week. It opens with her in a motel room wearing a gown and doing a sexy dance . . . and then it moves on to different rooms and different outfits.

 

KANE BROWN has an interesting story about a recent show in Orlando where he played to 14,000 people. He says, “I just saw ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, so I got to bring some of that energy into the show.  I did the stomp, and it was loud, and it was a great time.  I really brought my Freddie Mercury out.”
