HOWIE MANDEL was in his 30s when his father died back in 1989. He was devastated.  And yet, his memorial turned into a comedy of errors that’s hard for him not to look back on and laugh. The family was receiving mourners at the house, and one guy walked in and asked Howie if he was the son.  Then he started telling him what a wonderful singer his father was.  But Howie’s father never sang. They quickly realized that the guy was at the WRONG FUNERAL. But it gets worse.  Later that day, Howie was talking to an old friend of his dad’s.  Right in the middle of a sentence, the man said, “I gotta go,” and he RAN out of the house. As the guy took off, Howie noticed something on the ground.  He thought it was a piece of candy that the man had dropped, so he picked it up and tried to call after the man. But the guy didn’t stop.  He just kept on going.  That’s when Howie realized what he was holding.  It was POOP.  The man had a stomach disorder. As you probably know, Howie is an EXTREME germophobe.  He said, “My mom screamed and we’re screaming and she takes me into the bathroom and she scalds my hand . . . she’s pouring, like, alcohol and I’m screaming.”
