Two decades ago, JIM CARREY was a sensation, and was commanding $20 million paychecks. But in recent years, he hasn’t done much at all. In an interview with the “Hollywood Reporter”, Jim said “I just didn’t want to be in the business anymore. I didn’t like what was happening, the corporations taking over and all that. “And maybe it’s because I felt pulled toward a different type of creative outlet . . . and I really liked the control of painting . . . of not having a committee in the way telling me what the idea must be to appeal to a four-quadrant whatever.” He’s talking about the paintings he’s posting on Twitter, which are often social and political commentaries. But he also has a new show coming to Showtime next month called “Kidding”, which is a comedy/drama where he plays the host of a children’s show, whose real life is unraveling.
AEROSMITH was on the “Today” show yesterday, officially announcing their upcoming Las Vegas residency. And at one point, STEVEN TYLER was walking around the crowd, when a young man jumped out in front of him, put his arm around him, and tried to sneak a selfie. Steven ducked under his arm and pushed him away. Later, Steven Tweeted, quote, “No time, bro . . . this is LIVE TELEVISION!” Aerosmith will launch its residency at MGM’s Park Theater on April 6. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, while Steven Tyler and Joe Perry made it into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013.
I guess Disney is out of original ideas and thus, is making live-action versions of its entire animation catalog. The next remake the entertainment company is going to tackle is Lady and the Tramp. The movie will feature the voices of Justin Theroux as Tramp and Tess Thompson as Lady.
MICHAEL J. FOX and TRACY POLLAN met in the summer of 1985, when she auditioned for “Family Ties”. And it was love at first sight for Michael . . . but NOT for Tracy. She thought he was funny, but, “very cocky.” Tracy ended up doing a year on the show, but they remained just friends. Then they reunited for the movie “Bright Lights, Big City” in 1987. Michael asked her out, they started dating, and they got married a year later.
A former girlfriend of “Diff’rent Strokes” star TODD BRIDGES claims he threatened her with a crossbow and a taser so she got a restraining order against him. Todd does have a crossbow, but denies threatening her.

In a new interview with “People”, CHARLES KELLEY talked about growing up in Augusta, Georgia, and how he loved it so much he couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. And he had NO interest in traveling. There was a Thanksgiving back in the day when a cousin was yapping-on about a trip he’d taken to China. “I remember going, ‘Man, you’re crazy dude.’ I’m never leaving Georgia. America’s the best.” But he also loved singing and he had to travel for that. And when he did, well, things changed. “I had never really seen the world until LADY ANTEBELLUM. You can have pride in your country, but when you get to go and travel and see all these different places, it’s so eye-opening. There’s so many different ways of living.”
TIM TEBOW and his brother are producing a faith-based movie about two brothers who have to deal with the loss of their parents. One plays football and the other is a track star.
Before SAM HUNT was, famous . . . he recorded a demo of Craig Morgan’s “We’ll Come Back Around”. Fortunately for us, somebody found it and unleashed it on the world. It’s pretty good and some people think he should record it again, and put it on an album.
