Rodney Atkins will headline the 2018 I-105 Turkey Hill Fallfest

I-105 WIOV radio station has announced the national artists that will be performing at the 27th Annual I-105 Turkey Hill Fallfest. Fallfest is an annual country music festival that will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Overlook Community Campus in Lancaster, PA. Headlining the show this year will be country music star, RODNEY ATKINS.

Atkins, a Curb Records Recording Artist, has produced countless chart-topping hits and sold over 10 million albums in his career. The Knoxville, TN native was named the Top New Male Vocalist at the 2006 ACM Awards and has six number one singles in his career. His biggest hits include “If You’re Going Through Hell”, “Watching You”, “These Are My People”, “Cleaning This Gun”, “It’s America”, and “Take a Back Road”; just to name a few. Atkins will be making his second appearance at Fallfest. His first came in 2011, when he headlined the event.

Joining Rodney on the Family Owned Markets Stage will be country music icon, DAVID LEE MURPHY. Making his Fallfest debut on October 7th, Murphy is best known for his #1 hit singles “Dust on the Bottle” and “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright”, which he recorded with Kenny Chesney in 2017 as the lead single for Murphy’s new Album “No Zip Code.” Murphy was born in Herrin, IL and is signed with Reviver Records. David Lee Murphy has also made a career for himself as a writer, producing several hits for Chesney plus Jake Owen’s “Anywhere with You”, Thompson Square’s “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not”, and Jason Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor”.

The third act appearing at Fallfest will be 2016 American Idol winner TRENT HARMON.  Trent  is signed with Big Machine Records. Harmon is from Amory, MS and released his first single “There’s A Girl” in 2016 that went on to become a Top 30 hit. In 2018, Trent Harmon premiered a new single “You Got ‘Em All”, which served as the title track to his first studio album released in May 18th. He will make his Fallfest debut on October 7th.

MITCHELL TENPENNY is the fourth national act added to the 2018 Fallfest lineup. Tenpenny was born and raised in Nashville and is signed with Riser House Records. He is best known for his 2017 hit “Drunk Me”, which peaked at #21 on the country charts.

Opening the show this year will be a trio of local country bands.  DEVON NICKOLES is returning for a second appearance at Fallfest. After winning a chance to open the show in 2017, the Maryland-based band was invited back for 2018. Also making a second appearance will be Berks County native SAM SCHMIDTHUBER.  Just 16 years old, Sam is an up-and-coming talent who was invited to play on the Fallfest Pre-Show Party stage in 2017 and will be returning to Fallfest to play on the main stage in 2018.

The first act to take the stage in 2018 will be OLIVIA FARABAUGH. Olivia was the winner of the Showdown in the Park, a Battle-of-the-Bands style competition held on July 27th.  Farabaugh was a contestant on season 10 of NBC’s The Voice, where she made it to the blind audition round. Olivia is from Palmyra and will be making her first appearance at Fallfest.

The concert begins at 11am at Overlook Community Campus, in Manheim Township, Lancaster, PA. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 20th for just $5, with children 5 & under admitted free.
