RUSSELL CROWE and his wife Danielle Spencer are finally, officially getting divorced after a FIVE-YEAR separation. They’re auctioning off a bunch of their belongings in an event they’re calling “The Art of Divorce”. And they’re doing it on April 7th, which would have been their 15th anniversary. It’s also Russell’s 54th birthday. They’re selling off art, furniture, watches, vehicles, musical instruments . . . and some of Russell’s movie memorabilia. That includes a Roman chariot, armor, and weapons from “Gladiator”, a naval uniform from “Master and Commander”, and other items from “Les Miserables”, “Cinderella Man”, “L.A. Confidential”, and “Romper Stomper”. One of the most expensive items will probably be a violin that dates back to 1890. In all, they’re expected to make about $2.8 million from everything.
PEYTON MANNING is done selling pizza. He unloaded his 31 Papa John’s franchises last month -two days before the NFL and Papa John ended their partnership. Peyton will remain as their spokesman.
A group of survivors from the Route 91 Festival have asked JASON ALDEAN to return to Vegas and finish the show. He was about a third of the way through his set when the shooting started. They call themselves “58 Survivors One Last Set,” and they put together a 91-page photo book that features pics from the night, notes to Jason, plus pages dedicated to victims and survivors. The 91 pages represent Route 91. The whole thing started when a woman named Tiffany Thomas created a Facebook group for fellow survivors. Things grew from there and now they have the book, which they sent to Jason along with their request.
Like any hot concert, people lined up early to nab the best spot to see Sheeran, who performed in Adelaide, Australia on Wednesday. Some had been waiting for two days, and of course Sheeran couldn’t let them go hungry. So he quietly sent the loyal group some pizzas late on Tuesday night to help tide them over.
A new exhibit called “American Currents: The Music of 2017” opens tomorrow at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. It features artifacts from “current” artists. You’ll see stuff from acts like Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Randy Travis, and Chris Young. During a preview of the exhibit on Tuesday, T.J. OSBORNE talked about how he and JOHN used to wait tables there. He was in the catering department, and John worked in the restaurant. T.J. said, “We would roam the halls and dream of the day we would ever have the chance of having something in the Hall of Fame. “[And now] walking in here and seeing our hard work and many years of being broke and thinking it was impossible come to fruition, it’s kind of hard to put into words. It almost made me tear up walking in there and seeing our stuff in an exhibit.”
56 year old Heather Locklear is in a treatment facility following her arrest last month for one count felony domestic violence and three counts misdemeanor battery on a police officer, after battling substance abuse “for years.” Locklear’s 20-year-old daughter, Ava, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Richie Sambora, has been pushing the troubled star to get treatment for awhile. After Heather finally agreed, Ava went away with her father to get a break from it all.” Locklear was arrested on Feb. 25 after a domestic violence call was reported at a residence.
The ACMs announced their first round of performers. They include Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Dierks Bentley, Kelsea Ballerini, and Thomas Rhett. Also, Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha will perform their hit “Meant to Be”. More acts will be announced soon.
Today is International Women’s Day, so CMT and CMT Music is honoring it by doing an all-female music takeover. The music videos are from female artists -they’re also showcasing the rising stars from their “Next Women of Country”.
LUKE BRYAN has no idea how he’s going to look when the reboot of “American Idol” premieres on Sunday. “We just go up there and judge and try to make jokes, make critiques and have fun . . . but we don’t get to see how this stuff is edited. I don’t know if I’m gonna look stupid on TV.”
